Hey all

so its summer and I want a decent jrpg game for the first weeks and I was wondering which jrpg is better? ToV or SO?

I've heard both of them are good (with tales of vesp. getting higher reviews, but reviews dont mean everything to me), so I wanted your help deciding.

I know tales of vesp. is coming out for ps3 in the fall but I want a game now so its up to you guys 

 

ps if there any other jrpgs you wanna mention for 360 that are good, just post them too

Well, if you can wait for Tales of Vesperia on PS3, definitely get Star Ocean. It's a very fun and addicting action-RPG, and I really loved the fact that you can go back to previous areas. This is always something I look for when playing those kind of games. Also, the story is not bad at all and the gameplay is usual Star Ocean stuff. If you were already a fan of the series, well, this one is definitely the best out there. There's really no reason to complain about this one after playing SO3... IMO!

But yeah, you can't go wrong with both of them. There's not many JRPGs out there this generation anyways, so you might as well buy both one day! =P



Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

ToV is way better. Oh and the game Lost Oddessey is better than both!!! Best JRPG this gen

Star Ocean of course! The battle system is amazing! It draws you in instantly. Lots of side quests and extras to keep you busy. Did I mention amazing graphics? Much better than TOV... ;)



Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Tales of Vesperia. As much as I loved Star Ocean 4, it can't beat the greatest JRPG this gen.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I won't recommend Star Ocean 4 to anyone.

although SO4 has the better battle system, id say TOV is the overall better game. If u are interested in more RPG's u should check out Lost Odyssey and eternal sonata

"Move along son.  Theres NOTHING NEW to see here."  Thats said in a good way. Meaning any of those two titles will take some of you real world life hours away.  Get them both commit the time and remember there is a beach waiting to be played on... ahhh screw that an Air conditioned house and two Good RPG's Im staying/playing in this summer...
