The DS game was 2D magic! This game will be 2D voodoo mixed with 2D sorcery, using the 2D Force.

NSMB did awesome on the ds, I should know, it's one of the games I've owned.

Will NSMB wii follow in it's footsteps? Very Possibly, but it really depends on how they market the game. IMO Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man sized Mario is what made that DS game look so appealing to everyone. The Wii one doesn't have that though, so I don't know. Maybe it will sell at least as much as SMG.

In Japan, it's practically guaranteed to outsell Galaxy. I'm not sure about Europe and NA though. One thing is certain though, it's that the game will be awesome.

Why is it guaranteed? Because SMG sales are really low?

I am aware of that and it is absolutely absurd to say what you said in your first post.

Why? Because his opinion is different? I have to agree with him on this one. NSMB was amazing and it was the reason why I bought myself a DSL... I finished it countless times and collected everything what my pathetic gaming skills have alowed me ;) But NSMBWii looks a boring port in my eyes with a tacked on co-op feature. It will probably be a fun game and if the upcomming months will be good to this game Il buy this game if Il finally get a Wii for the 4 metroid games...

 

Also I dare to bet that NSMBWii wont get higher scores on meta then LBP... it will be good but seeing what scores NSMB got Im not even sure it will pass the 90% rating...
