No, it is just random invites.  The setup seems pretty broken.  I've seen people get in after a week, and people who are there 5+ years and still haven't gotten in.

I have been on the site 8 years and got it 1 or 2 into it

For reference, I was in Warhawk, Home (when it was still private), Socom, Resistance 2, and Killzone 2.

I've been in the LBP beta (had to beg for a key though), I entered myself into the R2 beta, and I was selected to be in the Home beta. That's it though.
