The Wii has a good chance but I don't think it will surpass the ps2 LTD

This is starting to look doubtfull.
It might happen on specific territories but unlikely it will happen worldwide...

don't think so. it will eventually need to sell because of high quality games and even though it has had some this gen, they have had little to do with its sales up to this point.

While high quality games exist on the system Mario Galaxy 2, Smash Brothers Brawl, The Legend of Zelda:  Twilight Princess, No More Heroes, Madworld, Okami, Metroid Prime 3, RE4:  Wii Edition, they really haven't had that much to do with the Wii selling 50 million copies.

On the other hand, games like Carnival Games, Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit, and Wii Play aren't high quality games but have contributed heavily to the faddish success of the Wii up to this point in time.  Selling in large numbers but mainly to those that probably aren't interested in sequels and will rapidly move on to other things.

So, the Wii will need many more games like the first group to have a chance at passing the PS2.  Much like the DS started out with Nintendogs and Brain Training but now has a very respectable library of games.

It will do so, quite easily.

If Nintendo keep on selling the Wii for as long as Sony have with the PS2 there's no doubt about it.

That's the thing though, Naum, Wii is selling faster than the PS2 so what it took PS2 to do in 9 Wii can do in 6-7. It won't need as long to sell to reach PS2's numbers. I remember reading from the Source that in PS2's peak Sony shipped 22m? Wii's eclicpsed that twice already and is looking to do it for a third time.

PS2 breaks down much more than the Wii which is why it has sold so many and been repurchased by the same person/family many times over.
The reason I think the Wii will never reach PS2 numbers.

Why not add MKWii sales to your list of "quality" titles and see how that argument stacks up to 360/PS3 and their bestsellers.

Are you sure they haven't had anything to do with the Wii selling 50M+?

i will predict after i see xmas bump, i am not really sure the new wii titles will revive the attention to the wii.
