We have dual logins already, it was implemented a few months back, Resistance 2 was patched to support it. At least, I'm pretty sure all that happened, who know's in this crazy old world, though.

What does the 360 do with dual logins? Well it was the only thing I could think of that fit his comment. That would be something that the game developers would have to work into the game. |
I don't know. I don't have a 360. Please enlighten me about this feature I've never heard of before.

^You can log into multiple PSN accounts, so that you can get trophies and stuff on both accounts during split-screen games, that sort of thing.

Like my little brother can log into his PSN while we play co-op on Super Stardust. This way he can earn the trophies too.
oh, I can see how that is useful, but honestly I don't play with anyone else. Maybe in 5 years when my kid is old enough

I dont believe it was implemented yet, all instances of it so far have been specific games and not built into the XMB like it is on the 360. On the 360 just turning on a second controller you can login as a different account on the same 360, but not so with the PS3.

I don't think there are any plans to expand it beyond the current implementation.
Edit:
The full quote is "The update will have one new feature PS3 owners wants. Sadly, it won't be immediately useful to us. It may be a new feature to the messaging and game invite system, but, this isn't 100% certain, yet."
Take this topic with a grain of salt. This guy doesn't source his information beyond the 2.80 debug file that apparently has been posted on Sony's press site.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.
