Lots of sites and magazines will tell you what they thought the best stuff at E3 was. Heck, we did! But only one set of awards are the result of the biggest outlets joining forces.

And those are the Game Critics Awards. Voted on by editors from 29 publications, ranging from IGN to GameStop to 1UP to...Kotaku, they're normally viewed - courtesy of that combined power - as the definitive list of what really stole the show at E3.

2009's winners have just been announced. And they are as follows:

Pretty unexciting list. Suprised about tatusnoko though.

Uncharted 2 and Scribblenauts seem to be hovering up the lions share of the love so far around E3.

Not bad list really, hard to argue with much (although some of the games such as for driving I'm not familiar with).

Looks like Uncharted 2 is going to really get adored to death by critics unless ND seriously screw the pooch somehow.

Most of those games are great games. However when it comes to the game critic awards I take them with a grain of salt. The guys at 1up talked about it many times in the last few months on their podcasts. The way they do it is a total  joke

They seemed to have liked Natal. And maybe you have to play Split/Second to appreciate it, but I do not see how triggering destructive events while you are driving is compelling.

I definitely want to give Scribblenauts a try. Everyone has a different story to tell about their experience with it at E3.
