I watched all of them do it--that's half a point for me for each one!

It's a bug with games that have special characters in the title. THe process compares each field to see what's being updated and, for whatever reason, it thinks there's an update to the name. Not sure of a way around it at the moment - but why are you complaining in the first place??? If you like, I can go through your recent wealth history and knock every 1.25 entry to .50... >:|

What happens when a Japan game has a number in there rating instead of a letter?

The new system is what we currently support. I'm not familiar with the ratings over there, but if we can map them, then go for it. If you can't map them over (in other words, CERO didn't just renamed them), then just forget it. Obviously games without proper CERO ratings shouldn't get a CERO rating in our database.

26,454 games - 700 entries = only 25,754 entries to go :p
@non-gravity
ESRB has only been around since the N64 days, and CERO has been around since 2002(?)
I'm not sure how long PEGI has been around, but I'm sure not every game in the database needs to be updated.
@soleron
I don't know what the BBFC is. Is that the UK rating? I know Australia has their own rating too.
Also, the main reason this was implemented was for was for age gates on the videos so we can host mature rated videogame videos without getting in trouble with the ESRB and publishers. Please focus on updating current games first, so the system actually works rather than having to ask for a DOB for every video because people haven't updated the ratings.

I'd also like to ask about the old ELSPA ratings. I just went to add the rating for Burnout 2: Point of Impact, and that shows an ELSPA 11+ rating. I'm not sure if I should just interpolate that to a PEGI 12+, because the ESRB rates it as E. I'm leaving it blank for now.
Also: Germany's USK ratings.
Poor TalonMan! These are nice additions, though.
