Sony sucks. They used to synonymous with quality. But after having optics die in 2 of the last 3 sony products I own, I no longer trust them. Plus, other electronics companies are now offering better values at equal quality. My home will no longer be a Sony home after my next upgrade cycle.

On the other hand PS3 is my HD system of choice and will remain so as long as it doesn't die on me. (knock on wood). I really enjoy the PS3 soooo....

i havent give up on them, but am really mad at them for making an endless chain of stupid decissions, from the US$599.99 of the ps3 to the US$249.99 of the PSP GO, and acting like they dont need third parties when third parties pressure for a price drop when third party support is jeopardiced by the small user based cuased by the Hi price

2007? The original PS2 had disc read errors on par with the RROD and it lauched in 2000.

leaving sony no way. ace games out this year with many more to follow and tremendous lineup for 2010. not to mention bluray with free netplay and free vidzone.
