What do the 3 versions of Oblivion that charted (#4, #8 and #10)) cost to purchase on Steam?
(and what are they - regular version, GOTY and Shivering Isles?)

Right now all of them have a 20% Off discount. There's:

Oblivion - GOTY Edition: 24€, has Original Game + both expansions (KotN and shivering isles)

Oblivion - GOTY Edition Deluxe: 28€, has Original + expansions + Nines DLC

Elder Scrolls Pack - 36€, Oblivion GOTY + Morrowing GOTY (Original + expansions)

Elder Scrolls Pack Deluxe - 40€, Oblivion GOTY Deluxe + Morrowing GOTY

All of them already have 20% discount, which is a limited offer. But you better check on yourself the prices because I'm currently at Uni and when I used my PC at home to check Steam website the prices were actually lower and Oblivion GOTY was only 21/22€ I believe.

Meh I'd rather have KOTOR 3 than any of the above games...

Those are great prices, but still not the 'Bioshock for $5' that would make hundreds of thousands of Steam users get a popular quality game just because it was almost free.

Anyway I am happy that Oblivion is on steam and selling well.

Do we have any solid sales numbers on NWN, Oblivion, or ME on PC? And I don't mean vague generalizations, but cold hard facts.

ME 1 suffered a lot from releasing on the Xbox 360, and having terrible technical glitches. Were it released on PC initially and the 360 later, it would have won many, many awards. The PC version is fantastic.

My friend, ME sold shit on PC. I am glad it was on the 360, because, quite frankly, that game would've gone nowhere if it was on PC alone. I don't even know if Gamestop sells PC games anymore. All the hype is on the 360 system.

Link the source of the PC sales of ME1, because it seems you know exactly how much it sold. If ME1 was PC-only, I assure you the game would be nothing like it was, and it would be a much more PC-centric experience (and better I might add).

Mass Effect sold mainly on the 360 dude. Microsoft even boasted about its sales on the 360 in 2007. People expected the game to only make $300,000 within a short amount of time and it sold over a million copies. I also read that Bioware when through great security measures for the PC version.

So you have no source at all? I'm sure taht the X360 version outsold the PC version due to various reasons, but no one has a single proof of the PC sales. At this point any speculation about those sales are just that, speculation.

If the PC sales we positive, don't you think bioware would've gloated about it by now? I predict 400-500k for PC LTD on ME2. PC is a pirate whores paradise.

As of October 17th 2006, Neverwinter Nights sold over 2 millions. Being a PC game it's possible it sold a few more hundreds of thousands, possibly another million since then. Source: http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=viewthread&threadid=71973

Oblivion there's no hard data of the PC version, but it has been selling great for ages and still appears in top selling lists every now and then. I would estimate the game to be sold at around 5 million or more, because it is around the Starcraft/WC3/Diablo Battlechest level + Digital Distribution sales (came out yesterday on Steam and occupies 3 top10 places on Steam currently).

ME there's no data at all. 100% certain it's not a million seller, maybe not even 500k yet, but the sales were enough for EA, which announced the sequel for PC at the same time as the console's.

So that would be a "no" on both Oblivion and ME.

Thanks for the NWN data.  I would say that it sold maybe a couple hundred thousand after Oct 2006.  It released in 2002 and I don't see the sales rate increasing after 2006 at which time NWN2 was released.

The last Star Wars MMO flopped badly.

I am totally bummed about the next KOTOR being an MMO, but come on - Bioware is not SOE (those fuckheads).

His implication was that with the Star Wars IP attached, it had a much higher chance of success, compared to the Mass Effect name. I say that the Star Wars name has been tarnished forever in the MMO realm.

The problem with Galaxies was that SOE listened to the players way too much and that wat ruined the game.... not SOE   >_>
