Anything lower than 100k first week in the American will be considered a failure on my part.

How so?  I think >100k would be stellar considering it's a new IP by a relatively unknown 3rd party company, and it's being released during what is traditionally a slow period in game sales... sales are usually slow at the beginning of the summer, then pick up towards the end as big titles like Madden are released and the fall/holiday season is getting ready to kick into gear.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

80 to 120k first week, not idea about how it'll do overall. This one is hard to predict but I definitely think the internet hype wont help it as much as people think it will.

60k 1st week in US, 25k 1st week Europe. IF they can nail the online then it might have decent legs from word of mouth but I think lifetime won't be over 600k

First week, 100k worldwide.

I think this game would be considered a success if it sold more than 1 million copies, but at the same time it's kinda sad considering it's the best FPS on Wii, and the best FPS on the HD consoles sell 5 million+

It could very well have a slow start, leading to many people calling it a flop after one week of data. But I really hope it does well, we need some more mature games on Wii.

You shouldn't like a game because it's M-rated. A lot of E-rated games are better than T and M-rated games. LittleBigPlanet, for example, is better than most M-rated games this gen.

And besides, The Conduit is Teen

I have low expectations. It'll sell on legs, but it won't sell phenomenally. Hopefully higher than MP3 in the long run, that would be a huge success.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I am certain that it will have sales that are greater than 500,000 in its lifetime and I think it is likely that it could pass 1 Million units sold ... Beyond that I think it has a problem of getting people to know what it is and then to motivate them to buy it before something "new" is on the market to distract them
