OT: A lot of folks ask the same question - why? I know there's a lot of hatred to the 360, PS3 and the Wii - and a lot of it is ignorance. Seriously, I just laugh when I see some folks post, because I know right off the bat it will praise their console and bash the other.

Really, a lot of it boils down to - folks not having lives. They don't have a significant other and spend so much time with their console that are affectionate to it. I would challenge them to drop the controller and get a breath of fresh air. I enjoy gaming, but there are many more things to do than hate on said console.

Oh and nice knowing you.

1.  I only criticize things I experience 1st hand.

2.  Because it's the way specific companies design their consoles.

3.  I enjoy my games, that's why I got them.

4. This one doesn't apply to me.

Not all fanboys are the same,  like I've said before, I've got 2 working Xbox 360's, and 1 PS3, which gets all my attention.  It's specific things about the xbox that I don't like.  And the Wii just doesn't satisfy my needs.

Well its opinion and a lot of people don't have time to play even one console. Its no fun without fanboys.

Because Sid Meier can't make everything.

Indeed sir. Don't know, it's just always been my favourite console, I like game's that other consoles have aswell, but the games I have/get from Sony make up for it.

Just what we need. Another person who thinks we should all hold hands under the gaming tree and sing by the campfire together.

One system doesn't have to be better than the rest. But everybody will have a preferred system. Stop acting like this is a bad thing. It encourages debate, and as long as the debate is grounded in fact, I'm happy with it. When it turns into "LOLPS3SUX" "NOHALOSUCKSBALLSLOL" then I agree, it is just getting annoying.

Have you thought that maybe some of us ENJOY a good debate?

It's interesting to note that the OP has an avatar from a popular game exclusive to a particular console.

If you really believed in this crap about gaming being a social experience that brings people together, and we should all work together for a better future, wouldn't you at LEAST have a multiplat game in there?
