Forums - Sales - If you don't own a PS3, will you buy one after a $100 price cut?

No, i dont feel that i need a PS3 (it has few amazing games that im missing out on) but Wii, DS and 360 have great libraries that suit all my needs.

BC to come back because I got of my SDTV so HDMI would be nice for PS2 games. Otherwise not gonna spend more then $200. I already got a Wii and 360, as well as a PSP and DS. That's a lot of games to play (and a decently beefy PC ready for Starcraft 2 and Diablow 3!). Blu-Ray movies look better but not $24.99 better. I think It's going to be awhile before I get a PS3.

It's just that simple.

No. I'm waiting for the console to hit $99.

Not until BC comes back... And FF13&14 are playable

The last time Sony dropped the PS3's price, coupled with MGS4, the PS3's got a sales boost of 180% They almost closed the gap between themselves and the 360. This time the gap is way too large, so they will need a horde of games as well as a dropped price. Sony will also need to market Uncharted 2 like never before, because that game is 2009's sure GOTY and the PS3's only chance at having a major heavy hitter this year. Another $100 in price cuts would boost sales. Anything less will not get them as much as they hope. Fourth Quarter would be the perfect time.

Perfect time for more debt? I'd be surprised if any price drop from Sony happens this year.

If it drops $100, likely. If it drops $50, not likely.

I've been waiting for a price cut and enough games to hit the greatest hits list, in the meantime, $400 would buy a lot of Wii or PS2 games. Hard to justify another console in my house.

Well its not the price for me. I would buy it if it came bundled with 2 games, not 1 game for $400 but that won't happen. Well no since i barely get to play my pc since my 360 has an amazing catalog of titles to offer. In other words one system is enough.

WalMart Fathers Day Bundle = PS3 + MLB09 + Quantum of Solice Movie for $400. That work for you?

How about a $50 price cut?

Or never?

I'll buy one when there are more than 3 games on the console that i want to play.

Baseball and a shooter based off a crappy movie sequel . It sure ain't Fable 2 and Halo 3.

Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted 2, R&C:Crack in Time, MAG, FF13(Jp)

Those along with a $50 cheaper Slim model... i feel would be enough for the PS3 to start catching like it did last year... and the added 2010 lineup is just adds even more to it.
