I want to get it, but am waiting for any reviews. Should I just get it anyways?]
It is only $40USD.

It is only $40USD.
I'm still on the fence for this one, but the fact that it's $40 Canadian makes it very tempting

reason why no reviews yet:
official release date given on the boxes is oct 2nd
either someone broke street date or no one told the stores they can sell it a week early, when i told the guy at the store it was out, he was like no it isn't tuesday. i said no they pushed the release up a week and that was the first he had heard of it.
went to 4 stores...all are saying tuesday the 2nd.
well, I and some people at gamefaqs at least have gotten it early. I guess no one cares about street dates for small games.
Though now that I think about it IGN had a story monday that Dragon Blade had been shipped to retailers. Hmm, odd that they would hold it for a week for no reason.

ign released a boss movie on the 28th, no review yet
I have been waiting for this game for a while. I find it really disappointingly that both it and DDR hottest party have been completely ignored by the game press as far as reviews. Four days after release and no reviews for either on Metacritic. I know everyone, including the journalists, are enjoying Halo 3 but those of us with an Xbox want games too. The Wii releases have been thin lately and this could have been a decent week. Both Nintendo and the third parties failed to send out review copies and do some promotion.
If these two games do poorly it further confirms some of my Wii fears. The games are there but Nintendo and the 3rd parties don't bother to even try to make them a success.
On a lighter note I bought DDR and once I can pull myself away for a bit I am buying Dragon Blade.
Final* Word on Game Delays:
The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.
Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.
Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.
*naznatips is exempt
Well, I got the game yesterday, and I'm having a blast. The controls are accurate, the music is great, the enemies are diverse and numerous, and the bosses thus far are epic. Graphics look like a great PS2 title, and Voice acting is almost non existent, but at $40 I'll forgive it. My current score is an 8.5 out of ten. It'd be an 8 if it was $50. Definitely a sleeper hit in my book. I fear reviewers might tear it apart though :(.
it looked like it could be the start of a nice new app--i will defintly pick it up to play as soon as i can

This game was a serious dissapointment. The controls are laggish and despite their attempts to make a decent sword fighting game it basically turns into the motion sensing equivalent of button mashing. Your character moves and reacts too slowly to really get any feel of true control and the lack of control during battles leaves you open to take damage from enemies and other foes usually resulting in your needless death in what should be otherwise mundane encounters.
The Graphics - Are sub-par for even a PS2 game, impressive maybe for the Dreamcast.
The Music - Generic, it adds nothing nor takes anything away from the game.
The Story - Rushed and pretty generic, you feel almost like you're playing a 25 cent arcade game at Chucky Cheeses.
The Enemies & Battles - Repetitious, boring and lack any real skill or learning curve, the game is how it is from the second you regret picking up your wiimote and nunchuck.
All these could have easily been forgiven though if only the game had good controls and could have shown what a home-brew innovation of motion controls could have done for sword fighting. Instead this game has me seriously fearing the Wiimote may never have the ability to deliver a true sword fighting game or experience.
The one saving grace this game was suppossed to have, its controls, is non-existant. Rent the title if you can because it is certainly not worth buying. What a waste of $40 dollars, hopefully I can get at least half of it back selling the game back somewhere.
BE VERY WARY OF THIS TITLE!
Ok we are getting conflicting feed back on the controls, one person thinks it's great, very responsive, another person finds it unresponsive and boring... why the difference???
Can two people have such different expriences???
Is it skill level, time spent, flat batteries, what the hell is it ???
