Forums - Gaming - Square Enix: 'No chance' 360 will compromise PS3 FFXIII.

I still hope Japanese audio because then I can compare both of them and use the one which sounds better. Usually Japanese audio track is superior to my ears in Anime and JPRG's. And reading subtitles is not problem for me. I have done it all of my live because here tv shows are not dubbed. I really can't understand how reading subtitles is torture....

How can subs be a torture to anyone? Are we to say that all games pre-voiceovers should now be overlooked? Makes me wonder how/why anyone survived through 7/8/9

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

I dont care about the JP voices.

Just get this game out already for my PS3!!!

damn I would love to have the jp-audio track. Japanese voice acting is top-notch with lot of emotion in speech and they got people with +10 years of voice acting experience, unlike the english language actors which seem to be picked from the street with no or little prior voice acting.

That is good that no comprimises are being made, for either version.

Also, I too would like to have Japanese voice overs with subs, its how I prefer my Kung-Fu movies.

Haven't they already said no Japanese language track for PS3, which would have been there if not for the 360 version

how important is jp language track in NA and Others anyway? can you tell me your rough estimate of how many people actuall prefer and understood that language. thanks

Well for me the Jp language with English subs makes the game bearable to play ( The Japanese VA's put alot of effort and emotion in there acting). Almost every jrpg I have played this gen I never finished because the VA's were so bad (Star Ocean, TLR, ToV,ect). Bad VA's turns to bad story telling and in a jrpg it is a big turn off for me so without that option I don't play it. So more than likely I'll import FF XIII if it has english subs, if not I won't get it.

I don't care, but many RPG fans see it as the only way to play these games. The fact is, if it were not for the 360, this would be on all versions of FF XIII on PS3 and so there is comprimise being made

True most are from china, but not all.

But it still stands that I prefer subs with original voices over bad dubs

I know, I don't understand this fascination for JAPANESE language tracks unless you are fluent in it

if you want to play game & look at the subtitles the whole time....enjoy yourself.....but to me its just torture
