i am going around shopping for some new games today, since i got a part-time job. was wondering if this game, is any good and worth my money.

Meh. I gave it another spin a few days ago. I tried a couple hours to find a game and played just once, and for only 2, 3 minutes. I just gave up and said 'This sucks.' I refuse to buy another online-only game. Maybe you can enable bots but after trying over the course of two days and just one match - and then the match stopped and back in the lobby? Nah, I am no longer a fan. I miss Zipper.

I have a couple people on my friends list that swear by it, I liked it but I had to many other games at the time to complete so I just abandoned this one since it was online only. Plus the main reason I got it was for the Official PS3 Headset, since separately it is $50 so i got the game essentially for $10.

My friend is really hooked on this game. I have it as well and thought it was pretty good.

No, it is fucking garbage. Shit gameplay. Shit graphics. Shit Servers. Impossible Trophies.

its good, don't listen to the whiners. its not the type of game where you run and gun.

It's a love hate game with a very steep learning curve. First few weeks you'll get absolutely owned.

I love it though, if you're gonna get it now would be a good time with 1.5 out soon (So they say lol) and DLC just around the corner.

So addicting, I love it! It completely took over Killzone 2 in my Playstation. Online is always packed, and because of the bundle almost everybody talks on the mic and communication is great.

Don't listen to the hate. I've played every one quite religiously since the first, the game has a somewhat niche but very dedicated group of players. The game is not about the most cutting edge graphics, it is very fun and the online problems that made people give unfairly lopsided reviews are fixed. Try it once at least. I don't know why, but SOCOM is always one of the online experiences that I always come back to. Fun stuff.
