Take the Blu-Ray drive out, add in a big hard drive and the cost savings are probably slim to none (and then it doesn't play Blu-Ray movies).

If it happens it's pretty dumb from Sony.

Id say the best action they could do, would be cut the price by $50, and introduce the slim.
