Just upgrade your Operating System to Linux and you will be fine.

By the way you should not place your trust in any virus software especially Norton.

Also, this site has had virus and spyware issues in the past because the ads are loaded remotely and you do not know what you are going to be getting.

You know if you have an issue with the site you can leave right? nothing is stopping you from leaving this community and "unprofessional" site.

and we can debate avg free edition another time but it is no where near the level that paid protection from Norton or Mcafee.

Site never slows down for me unless really high traffic or the few times it was offline completely. I've never had popups or any security issues. An add about 6 months ago had a trojan, thats about the only thing I can remember. If ppl are surfing online w/o protection they are asking for trouble anyways, not from vgchartz but from any site. Ads and banners can have things in them unknown to the the web admins, it happens on ALOT of sites.

If someone gets a virus/malware/spyware/etc from being online they have only themselves to blame. There are way too many free programs available to stop such things, ranging from virus protection, web browsers (firefox, opera), and spyware/malware detection programs.

This right there just shows how little you know. AVG Free is limited but its anti-virus scanning and protection is one of the best, far better than either of those garbage anti-virus companies. And the professional version is even better.

The only reason they are popular is because they give OEMs discounts.
