I think you should buy XI.

None of them?

FFX-2 - abomination.

FFVIII - not really that good.

FFXII - just a terrible game.

FFXI - Great game, but not a great RPG.  It's a great MMO.

Are you absolutely devoted to a FF game?

If so, have you played the others?

If not, there are many better RPG's out there for you.

I would recommend final fantasy 8. I find it the best out of all of them, definitely the best out of that list. The whole game has more of a mature theme. The music is amazing. The graphics also were brilliant at the time, but they have aged a bit.

Which ones have you played before? Dont expect there to be materia like ff7, assuming you've played that game. There's a 'junction' system which I like but its not for everybody. Oh and don't worry about the length, it will last all summer.

Good luck finding it by the way. You'll enjoy it if you like final fantasy. A very very good game indeed!

FF X-2 has one of the richest sidequests of any other FF! you could be a straight arrow and beat it in 5 hours or enjoy the full experience and last for 25 to 30 hours!

FFVIII definately. After FFX the FF series hasnt been that great.

FF12 is good after the 20th hour twesterm, we've been through this before!

FF12 is good after the first cutscene, Twesterm just has no taste.

Well, I didn't know that. But really, 30 hours for all sidequests isn't much for a Final Fantasy.

BTW FF12 = TONS of grinding

I preferred VIII the most out of those.

XI is an MMO

X-2 is horrific

XII just missed something for me, was still a great game, just not as good as VIII
