meh i never liked Star Wars(TRUE).

i've watched the first movie from new trilogy and the last one - both with horrible polish dubbing. on the first one i've come with my class as a "school trip"(you know somethin that teachers do once a year so we as kids were able to STFU about not having any real trips) and on the second one i went with two of my friends that were SW fans - we didn't know it will be dubbed but the amount of 8-10 year olds was odd and then when we heard first lines in polish it was like WTF?! but this movie was a great comedy and we laughed really hard. as for old trilogy i only saw few scenes but i was never hooked up to be able to watch any of them from start to the end.

i guess my ass will be smacked in

3...2...1...

The old trilogy is great. You should watch it sometimes. It still holds up today because it's amazingly awesome.

The new trilogy is meh.. but dubs i would imagine would ruin them lol.

Which would make them crappy so..

But you should check out the old movies..

@staude

new trilogy was saved by EP 3

it is still my FAVORITE star wars movie ever

Guys, lets get back on topic here.

To those saying Gran Turismo is not the first racing game on PSP, no duh. What it is, is the first car enthusiast game on a portable system. There is no way around it, Gran Turismo and Forza are in a differant league when it comes to car games. Need For Speed, Burnout, Project Gothem, Grid, Dirt, TOCA, and all the other racers on the market are just games. Forza and GT on the other hand, are games built by car enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Trust me all the other games mentioned would not fit in at all at a hot rod show. Thanks to the roster on GT featuring everything from the model A to a Honda S2000 GT has something interesting to that crowd.

I guess I was a little to direct in my OP, and title. It is not a absolute that GT will raise the bar thanks to this game, but from my point of view, this is the best chance the game has ever had to spread its audiance.

@KBG

how dare you interrupt our Star Wars discussion! (lol j/k)
_________

I think this is the best chance GT has had to expand its audience

& maybe some of those people will then purchase a PS3 to play GT5

That is what I am thinking. GT PSP is like the gateway drug. It gives people a taste of what Gran Turismo is all about. With a little intrest sparked the new fan goes out and learns a little more about the series, and if Sony is smart GT5 will be out very close to GT PSP's launch. If GT5 can boost the same amount of cars GT PSP has, plus add car damage, Nascar, WRC, and more then it should be the final push needed to move units.

Another thing that I really hope Sony does, is puts a ton of weight behind the Home space for GT5. This is a great chance to create a very close community within Home, all built around Gran Turismo. The market that this game is geared towards is already very community driven, so I think Home must be taken very seriously. They need to integrate the Home space into the game so well that it becomes part of the experiance itself. Perhapps making the Home space the onlinerr lobby would be one possible idea. I remember that Sony had parteners like Audi, BMW, and Ford early on in the life of Home, and I am just wondering if the GT launch will bring all of those spaces.

What I think would be very cool, is if Ford or one of the others allowed people to test drive their cars in Home via GT5. For example. You enter the Ford space, and they have a show room floor with all of their car models (new cars only for this purpose). You walk over to the Shelby Mustang and a test drive option appears. Thanks to a deal between Polyphony and the car manufactures you will be able to hop on one specific track, and take the car for a spin.

I know that that is a little repetitive since if you have GT5 you could test drive a bunch of cars on a 100 tracks, but what it does is create promotion for both the manufactures car, and the game itself. This is another thing that could possably help move more untis of GT that we have seen in previous iterations.

IF YOU SKIPPED EVERYTHING ELSE PLEASE READ THIS LAST BIT

I was in Japan last year for TGS, and I saw people playing Monste Hunter everywhere. On trains, in restraunts, in stores, and basically anywhere else you can go in the country. With GT I think Sony finally has the product that can make that happen in the US, and Europe. I think that people will be doing 4 player ad hoc races all over the world with random GT fans. I think car events will be the biggest place this happens, but it could easly spread. In a way I think that GT will become the Pokemon of the adult world. The best part is, it will never grow old either. They don't have to envent crazy new charicters, they just have to keep up with the car industry.

Who sees what I am getting at here?
