It just hit me like the snap of a Top Fuel car when the throttle bursts open. Thanks to the PSP Gran Turismo is going to find an audiance that now other racer can even imagine. This is the first time a great sim game has ever come to a portable system. It will be the first time many car enthusiasts ever set eyes on something like it. Best of all, it will be everywhere. Just think about it for one second. Gran Tursimo will be in the pockets of millions of people just because it is Gran Turismo. Now think of all the car events car fans attend. GT will be making its way to car shows, from hot rods and customs, to rice burners and pimped out Hummers. GT has something in it for every car show attendy no matter their taste. It will also show up at every major racing event around the world. It will be at Indie, Nascar, F1, WRC, NHRA, Lemans, you name it GT will be there. Thanks to GT PSP, Gran Turismo will be everywhere car enthusiasts go. It is going to be the greatest marketing tool of all time. So here is your job, GT fans. Obviously if you have a PSP this is a must buy. If you don't have a PSP but like GT, don't be a dork get on the game this October 1st. Once you have it, make sure this thing is with you everywhere you go dealing with cars. This is our chance to stretch GT's lead on the car genre even further, and make it part of car culture world wide.

this PR makes me want to vomit. it will be great game for a portable system but won't be first racing sim(there was few titles on psp already).

He means racing sims in the caliber of Gran Turismo and Forza. Those haven't been on a portable system before, which is what this entire post revolves around.

And I agree to the extent that GT PSP COULD be as big a thing as the OP says. It would certainly be awesome, and would also be something that helps out the industry in general. All in all, it COULD be huge.
