So, because they can release now if they wanted, means they are "cocky" ?
Do you realise that having 2 GT games released, in such a short amount of time... would harm sales?
Do you also realise that Sony's Christmas line up, so far... is practically blank?

Actually no....it wont harm sales. It is only upon the company whom they are creating the game  for who can hurt the potential sales. They are just increasing demand for their individual title. Sony must cut the price by 4th quarter.

Are you acting stupid on purpose?

GT5 would affect GT:PSP sales... and also possibly PSPgo sales at the same time. Im sure not even Sony are THAT daft.

Seriously... the butt-hurt Forza fans are starting to be my most hated on this site.

Dude, it won't harm GT5's sales, but it's gonna make people forget about the PSP Go and GT PSP they were promoting.

Get some common sense man.

Do not insult my intelligence, because I quite frankly do not care to insult yours. I respect your opinion, despite not being in agreement. Not everyone who owns PS3 owns a PSP, so it doesn't always correlate. GT PSP will be the main selling point of the PSP go at its launch. It will STILL possibly be the highest selling PSP game. GT's sales purely depends upon peoples value in the PS3 at its price point and the GT series thus far.

Sorry about that.

You don't over shadow your own game with a much bigger title like GT5 in the marketing world.

@STAGE

seriously I don't understand this

you act like your neutral, all the time & everywhere

but then you post & always insult SONY in some way

Thanks for finall proving to me, your definetely not neutral at all

EDIT: Also you & selnor are the only people constantly putting GT5 down on these forums........I wonder why

Focus on what I am actually saying instead of seeing what you want to see. I am not putting down GT5; I am putting down Polyphony.

You are all over the place STAGE. 1. are Alan Wake devs working on other things? If the answer is no the two are not comparable. 2. How are they stalling?

Polyphony's devs already admitted the game could've been released already. Nuff said. Yamuchi is a cocky little fuck. He will keep the game in development as long he wants just because he can. This is his testimony. You guys want to call the guys at Turn 10 cocky? This fucker doesn't care what you think.

Christ are you 14?

If you never did any marketing works you should shut up about the release date.

There are many factors other than the completion of the game that affects the release date.
It's the Sony Publishing department that decides the release date for games, not the developer.

Yamuchi could release the game now, but he doesn't feel like it. He is riding off of GT's name value and Sony publishing the title. Creating ad hominem attacks will not help your argument.

I am not acting stupid at all. As for Forza fans?..where? The only Forza game that has remotely interested me was 3.

He said he wants to release it ASAP.

Apparently Sony Publishing is holding it until they decide a suitable release date for GT5, this is where all the GT5 by the Holidays 2009 rumors came from.

A game developer don't decide the release date.

attacks? you mean like you said cocky fuck and whatever?

Exactly! You're spot on! Why do you think I don't believe GT5 will come out this year? Sony is focusing more on the PSP go's launch for holiday sales! This is why GT PSP is coming out then. They didn't even show gameplay footage of GT5 at E3. GT5 will most likely be pushed back to Q1 2010 because of that.

Nobody knows anything about that other than PD and Sony.

I'm not surprised if they are going to announce the release date for GT5 on TGS along with a price cut.

Well, I hope you're right about that.

Actually, stage isn't putting down GT5, he's just putting blind fan boy in their place, much like I like to do! Now, I find it funny that everybody is fawning over a speculative poll, on CNET none the less. The site that, just last week had fanboys coming out of the woodwork to denounce because it showed that the general public thought MS won E3. Funny how that works, also, lets not forget that GT5 should had a larger leading percentage in that pole EVEN WITH THE ELEGED BRIBING. Lastly, lets not forget that the pole results were well within the margin of error. If one is to believe the CNET pole, it would seem that the GT series has lost MAJOR ground here.
