Forums - Sales - Will the Xbox 360 have 10+ 5M+ sellers before the end of the year?

The Xbox 360 is sitting pretty strongly at nearly 6 5M+ selling games with Gears of War 2 about to join that pretty select grouping. So that pretty much leaves 4 5M+ sellers to come and make it over before the end of the year. We have Halo ODST which will be pretty front loaded, I would be surprised if it didn't hit 5M+ before the end of the year and there are games like Forza 3 and Call of Duty MW2 which should be putting in some pretty strong efforts as well. Also with the new release of Assassins creed 2 it should be enough to push the game which is edging pretty close to 5M itself over the mark by the end of the year.

So could the Xbox 360 be seeing a big 10 for 5M+ games before we call 2009 to a close? What do you think, Nay/Yay?

Forza 3 aren't getting there. All the other ones have a strong chance.

There are simply so many big games coming out towards the end of the year... especially sequels like MW2, ODST and Forza 3 which open higher than new I.P.

There is an outside potential for Forza 3 bundled, and with amazing reviews, to one day pass 5 million....but that is a ways off, and probably never.

However ODST and MW2 will probably pass 5M+. Assassins Creed will probably pass 5M+ as it edges closer and the new release increases interest in the older game like what happened with Gears 1 when Gears 2 was released and finally Guitar Hero 3 may very well pass 5M+ copies since tons of casual gamers buy the consoles around Christmas, or perhaps some other title does instead.

Forza 3, even with bundles wont make it.
ODST + MW2 should definately make it... just not THIS year, for MW2.
AC has a slight chance, but is possible.

ODST and MW2 will definatley make it, not sure if either will make it in 09 though.

Forza 3 will never sell 5 million, I'm thinking probably around 3 million lifetime.

Forza 2 was released in late May, Forza 3 will be late Oct. I think Forza 3 has a chance for 5+ Mil. ODST + MW2 are likely to be. Assassin Creed 2 will probably be close to 5 mil.
