Forums - Nintendo - DO NOT BUY Grand Slam Tennis!

That's good to know. It's time to update the EA boycott in my signature.

EA has put out some of the best games this generation.

Your sig belongs @ gamefaqs, and your decrying of games like boom blox bash party and army of two: the 40th day are completely evidence of that.

I never planned on buying that piece of shit. When I buy the Wii for my mother I'll just let her play Wii Sports Tennis, because that is the only valuable Tennis game. I of course will only play Tennis games with controls that match the playing style of actual players that exist. This cannot be done with Wii-motes. It demands actual controllers, because you cannot emulate everyones style efficiently yet with new peripherals. Top Spin and Virtua Tennis are the top Tennis games to buy if you are a serious Tennis gaming fan.

Someone is living in denial...

At least according to the people who play actual tennis and leave Grand Slam reviews on Amazon/IGN and such.  Think I'll trust their judgement over someone who can only play with analog sticks and buttons.  Thanks for your valuble opinion though...

@S.T.A.G.E.: Your post was a much needed breath of fresh air in this thread. I salute you for your valiant effort.

You don't have to take my opinion. Wii-motes at this point cannot accurately correlate to actual playing styles. Normal multi-button controllers can. Players have their unique styles. Wii Sports Tennis is a good game, and my mother doesn't game, but she is open to the Nintendo Wii experience which seemed far easier to her than playing what I play. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone who is a serious Tennis gaming fan; that is just my word and you don't have to take it. People who want to play these types of games in a hardcore fashion will want full customizability and accurate stats and styles of actual players.

STAGE why exactly did you come into this thread?

Biggest Pikmin Fan on VGChartz I was chosen by default due to voting irregularities

Super Smash Brawl Code 1762-4158-5677 Send me a message if you want to receive a beat down

i buy today.
The control are perfect. control fail if you fail examples
1 you not put your character in a good position for the movement
2 waggle alot as wii sport. Is a simulation you have only 1 time for do the correct move
3 if motion plus fail only must put 2 second in a table and all ok other time

Other thing this game is free of friend code all is over EA account

But it got an amazing review from IGN. Just because you suck doesnt mean you blame the game.

or you wouldn't recommend this game to people with a brain

i've played the game at a friend, and the controls are far more realistic than Wii Sports tennis

when i first played it was like everyone, i said it's unplayable, i was playing in Wii Sports Tennis style and i couldn't get a point, i was like WTF, it was all out or couldn't reach the ball

after plugging in the nunckuk and try playing/swinging more realistically i found out that the game is great, as IGN and so many sites said

personally, i can now control where the ball goes, also the harder i swing the faster the ball, and the vibration of the controller accoarding to how you hit makes it feel even more realistic

it's not perfect 1:1 but still awesome game, GO BUY GRAND SLAM TENNIS is my opinion, and also, don't practice against Federek, it's a nightmare : P

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

offcourse it isn't 1:1 they said 1:1 made it even harder to learn to play because it was too accurate haha.
