Forums - Sony - Ratchet And Clank Future:Tools of Destruction has gone gold

I can't wait to see this game, it looks amazing and with their experience in the genre the chances are very good it'll play as good as it looks :)  Also everything I've read indicates this title is coming together extremely well.

"Hey everyone, I thought I would hop on and give you a quick update on where we’re at with Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction.

I’m happy to report that we’ve gone gold! The game is finished and will hit a store near you on October 30. As some of you know, this is a week later than the Oct 23rd date stated previously, but the extra wait will be worth it. Insomniac has been hard at work squeezing every last detail, dance move and tool of destruction that we could fit onto a Blu-Ray disc (while leaving some room to fit Captain Qwark’s massive ego). This makes it the largest Ratchet & Clank experience ever.

I am also happy to report that we are wrapping up work on an updated and optimized version of our E3 demo (which is also available at Gamestop if you pre-order RCF) as I type this, and should be available via PSN in North America by October 11. The demo will be of Metropolis, the signature level in the Ratchet & Clank franchise. Well, it was the signature level… before we blew it to bits in this demo:)

Finally, I’m including a quick link to our newest trailer for your viewing pleasure. A hi-res version can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store for free. Enjoy!"

I've just noticed a joke on the playstation blog. There's a poll which is:

"Which game are you most likely to purchase on the day of its release?

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (35%)
Ratchet and Clank (29%)
Heavenly Sword (19%)
All of the above (13%)
LAIR (4%)"

All of the above and then lair as an afterthought? :D

I think Playstation.Blog is a very well done website. so well done that I wish there was an equivalent site for Xbox (I know there's Major Nelson's website but it really doesn't compare to Playstation.Blog and the way it has the people in charge of or working on stuff doing the actual blog entries for them).  It's a great site so I check it out from time to time.

I know some people think I'm just a troll or xbot (some people consider them the same thing) but when Sony or Nintendo do something right or bring out a good game or come up with a good idea I give them credit for it.

I am this close to playing Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, but I have the LSAT this weekend. Damn you LSAT...

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Legend just made URNotE and leo-j's heads asplode!

awesome. they delayed to the 10/28 b/c they are trying to release it at the right time.

Uncharted needs to be pushed back a week so it doesn't compete with Rock Band and Mass Effect.
