That's very simplistic isn't it? Are you sure that the mysterious entity "Turn 10" were in complete control of giving away whatever the hell they are briging people with(probably something free and insignificant)?

I mean, honestly people, it's rediculious. You are justing using this "Turn 10 bribes" talking point to flame the developers. They used simple marketing to influence a meaningless internet poll, and it probably was a forum admin, and not even a member of the team.

It's a joke that anyone would think what you wrote. Did you really mean that? Am I the only one capable of deciphering the mysteries on life on this forum? Not everything is that absolute. You are drawing your conclusions out of thin air, sir.

While it is debateable whether or not Take 10's action or "marketing strategy" should be considered bribing or not, that's why we have this thread to debate about that, and I think that it's perfectly acceptible to criticize a company for an action such as bribery.

The reason why I consider it bribery is because I feel voting is something that should be kept pure, and not be tainted with the promise of external rewards.

I think there's a difference between making people aware of a poll and advertising to vote for someone, vs saying "vote this way, and you get this". That means that the vote was, to some degree, casted in order to get a reward.

This isn't a thread, it's a gangbang, and it's full of faulty assumptions and incorrect logic. I can't point it all out, but what I can do is post MY opinion, which I did, and which you quoted. It's a lot closer to reality that most things I've read in this gangbang.

I don't need your console war.

You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

This is proof that Turn 10 are insecure about Forza

The fact that they care so much about some little internet poll, as to offer a free car for a vote... to me makes them insecure.

Don't mind Slimebeast, he clearly just believes that Turn 10 can do no wrong. Ahh well, I reported him anyways. Regarding the thread, the CNET poll has so few responses that it means almost nothing. Both are multi-million selling franchises, and so far the poll has less than 10,000 responses. Not a big deal.

Oh, they can do wrong, but they didn't do anything wrong in this instance. Influencing a meaningless internet poll with a free nothing is NOT bribery, it's marketing, and it is the actions of 1 man, probably not even a member of the Forza team, AND it is completely and utterly meaningless, hurts no one, and helps a game that he is obviously a big fan of. If not for the fake appauled internet, this would have been a great promotional idea, actually. You don't even have to show proof you vote. You can vote infinite times. Are you kidding me.

Did you know Obama gave free rides to the polls for voters? Ooooo, bribery. To even think this is worth posting about in a way that shows offense, ASTOUNDS me.

I think this thread proves just how much of a golden cow GT to many, many people, and/or how quick people are to jump on the bandwagon of hate without even realizing why they are hating that ENTIRE COMPANY, over the actions of a forum adminstrator, which weren't even bad to begin with.

Montana, it's like me flaming ioi because of that post you just made, except I am a whole community of people, and I don't really mind the post you made, but I'm pretending, because I just wanted to flame VGChartz to begin with and you gave me an excuse.

This is hyped up Sony propoganda, no doubt perpetuated by some pro Sony blogger on Sony fansite N4G.

/end rant /end truth

Did Obama give free rides to the polls for voters or free rides to the polls only for people who will vote for him.

Different situation.

Why is everything a Sony related conspiracy? -.-

I don't even see this on N4G either, so it isn't truth.

@zenfolder dude. You might be.. scratch that. You are biased. But even you can't deny that turn 10 are so far up their own asses that any light they may see are purely incidential.

Yeah, they are fairly arrogant. That has nothing to do with this, though. If you want to argue a pattern of behaviour, that is fine, but this particular act isn't an example of it. It is one of the most overblown an unimportant acts I've seen flamed on the internet, and that is saying a lot.

You didn't even have to vote, you just had to say you did....and yes, the buses were sent to areas that were full of people who were going to vote for obama.

Point is,  not only was the bribe here worth far less than a ride across town, the poll was completely meaningless, and even if it wasn't, it is still entirely and completely overblown here. If people didn't love GT, or hate Microsoft, nobody, and I mean nobody would care one iota about this except Forza fans who get a free what, unicorn? In the game?

Again, the magnitude of the action, doesn't change the intent and action itself. Me stealing a dollar from a cahsier is still stealing, even though it's insignificant when compared to me taking the entire cahsier. We're analyzing the CHARACTER and moral integrity of the company, not the action itself, but rather only using the action as a measurement for the company's integrity.

For Obama giving free rides, he's not saying "Vote for me, and I'll give you a ride" (in fact there's no incentive to take the offer unless you wanted to vote in the first place... it's a stretch to say somebody went through all the effort to get a free ride, to the election center nonetheless), if you want to vote I'll give you a ride so you can exercise your fundamental right as an American that you were unable to do.

If Obama said "Vote for me, and I'll give you a car" then I'll be outraged.

I never played GT, and the only time I did was at Best Buy, where I thought "Wow... driving is a bitch". As for one man not being the entire company, that's a debate on its own. I remember when I was playing Hockey that we had to do our punishments as a team, just as much as we got to celebrate as a team". It's a debate on what makes a group, how we should see ourselves, our actions, the actions of others, etc. To discuss so is going to be a huge derailment.

I don't know what you're talking about with Montana, so I'll stay out.

Too bad you didn't contribute to the topic of the thread yet...

I voted for Forza. I don't really care about racing games, but GT needs to be knocked off its high horse.

Ps3 fans started the L4D boycott group too and they are also the majority of the group.

Can't you vote as many times as you want? When this story picks up, some fan from probably the Sony side, will get a bot and make it a million to 10. He will be applauded, not flamed, because people on this forum like GT, and it is a golden cow.
