Forums - Gaming - Is Ocarina of Time still the greatest game of all time??

@Republic

If McDonald's isn't the greatest res ever. why is it all over the world? It wouldn't get as many customers, say if something was greater.

Titanic may very well be the greatest movie to date.

Example: The Dark Knight was everywhere, why because of popularity, and it could very well go down as the best movie ever.

Thriller may very well be the best album. "MICHEAL JACKSON!!!"Everybody knows Jackson.

American Idol could very well be the best tv show right now!
People usually watch what they find interesting, and greatness is far from uninteresting.

Sorry, but things don't revolve on a select few. Thats what we currently are basing Oot on.

The greatest get the biggest recognition.

Every example you used was a "great" way to define "greatness."

At the end of the day people want whats best for them. The best is usually the greatest.

Do you want to know what's greater than McDonald's? Almost any non-fast food restaurant. Just because they have a ton of money to advertise and open franchises does not make them better than other restaurants.

(and now we are completely of topic)

OoT is an amzing game, it never was my favorite of all time, it's definitely amongst them, but it will still be the best of all time if many people vote, not all will vote for it but it will surely get the most votes(like in the vgc's article), I'm sure it would in other places too.

There is no such thing as a "Greatest Game of All-Time". It's not a title that can just be granted on something, just like one cannot declare a "Greatest Painting", "Greatest Movie", "Greatest Song".

Subjective experiences are subjective.

Different people will enjoy different things differently. Heck, one of my little brother's friends hated MGS4 because, and I quote, "Snake moves weird".

It is still the greatest game of all time, it still got the highest scores and it's still on the top of most "what is the best game ever" charts. Zelda was better when it was released then MGS4 when it was released. MGS4 is not even the best game this gen, Super Mario Galaxy is.

I thought that you would say Moonwalker is the greatest game of all time.

Only people that follow the in crowd say OoT is the greatest game of all time.

The cool kids all know that it's GoldenEye.
