A fighting game with it's characters like Nintendo does with smash brothers? I'm sure everyone has thought about it and thought it was a good idea, so why don't they do it? It would surely sell well if it's decent, which Sony developed games always are if not very good. And it would be a great way to increase the brand value of the different characters assuming many people would purchase the game that may not necessarilly be too familiar with all the characters. They have guys like Kratos, Ratchet, Drake, Jak, Infamous guy, Folklore characters, Nariko, Ico, knight from white knight chronicles, Sir Daniel, Logan, nathan hale, rogue galaxy and dark cloud characters, and I'm sure there are a bunch of characters they could easily get license for like Snake, Cloud, Spyro, and some others.
It doesnt have to be exactly like smash brothers but anything that is 4 players and easy to play would be perfect. Fighting games is also a genre that Japan likes so it could appeal to all three regions. And it is a type of game that the PS3 lacks right now. LBP is the only other game that a group of friends could sit around together and play all night long while eating pizza and hanging out or whatever. Maybe Buzz and singstar, but those game are way too niche.
