Tough call but Splinter Cell Conviction gets my vote.

I love Halo but ODST and Reach are just spinoffs. I dare anyone to name a case where a spinoff was as good as the main series.

Probably Crackdown 2. Delicious.

MGS series was a spinoff series that became the main series.

It was Alan Wake till I saw the trailer. Really didn't like much of what I saw. So for now it is Halo ODST and Mass Effect 2.
