Forums - Microsoft - Turn 10: Polyphony checked out Forza 3 at E3

Aside from Road Rash, Gran Turismo was the first racing game I loved, but that is some pretty solid validation for Turn 10. And maybe a little show of insecurity from Polyphony? It will be interesting to see both these games in their polished form...

Show of insecurity from PD? Miyamoto was checking Killzone 2 out, is that a show of insecurity? people are just checking what they compete against.

Turn 10's trash talk... now THAT'S insecurity.

I know Forza 3 is looking great, but Polyphony has no reason not to launch GT5 already. They could and they know it. I bet Forza 3's looks and style caught them off guard and after this its back to the drawing board for them. That is f'n sad. How long are they going to make people wait for GT5? If they keep going on this way PS3 owners will never get a GT6, because they are waiting for the competition to go first, when Turn 10 launches two games within the realm of the last full GT launch and the new one coming soon.

Yup, sure, PD are going to go back to square one and restart development. Get real.

"Which could explain why the GT franchise has been so stagnant in the racing genre since GT3." = Claws out stuff. I wonder if they're channelling the spirit of Aaron Greenberg...

@ Xen

I suppose will see when the games are actually released. Besides it's fun to give shit to the competition. Haven't you ever played a sport!?

they said they could release it, but only when they are happy with it.

they also said regarding dev cycle that they had to get a prologue out and finish gtpsp 1st.

u keep bringing up jibberish arguments without explaining why the long cycle.

if turn 10 on thier shedule also had to get out a prologue and complete a handheld version which is full on game, i highly doubt they also would be able to get thier flagship game out quicker.

Hopefully they will see things that may improve GT5 ( like race rooms, invites, chat etc, 2004?) Nascar inclusion and damage has me really pumped fotr GT5 its even better than Prologue visually but then again its been 1.5 yrs. As for Forza 3 its miles better looking than its predecessor and very close to Prologue visually. The customisation options are going to be terrific, when I finally get a 360 again that is.

1.5 years for what?...The last full GT game hasn't been out for four years and when it launches it will be five years. Turn 10 is doing a good job creating a race game in less than half the time that Polyphony is taking, with only half the cars. All Polyphony is doing is making people wait and wait and wait. The bastards already admitted that they could launch GT5 already, but they just wont stop stalling the game. They stall worse than the creators of Alan Wake. Actually....Alan Wake hasn't taken nearly as long.

When I say back to the drawing board, it means they will probably stall the game again to put more features that they found in Forza.

Miyamoto was never competing against the developers of KZ2.

If Turn ten had a 5 year schedule with Forza 3 like Polyphony has with Gran Turismo 5, they would've had three times the tracks and features that GT5 has. Think about it.

Yay, apparently turn 10 is full of babbling idiots.

If Polyphony didn't come to check the game out: Polyphony won't recognize any other game, that's just awful.

If they do come and check it out: OMFGWTFBBQ, they acknowledged us as better. Wai would they otherwise take picturez LOL11!11!1!

I wish devs would talk about their own game instead of trying to diss another. Guess you have to be a babbling moron with the mental capacity of a four year old to get into some development teams.
