Note: We already know Sports juggernauts like Madden and FIFA will sell great every year along with Music games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band...so I left them out and just focus on harcore gaming. I included Wii Sports Resort because even though it is a casual game..it came out a few years after the last one and should make the Nintendo people happy :) OK..just imagine Wii Sports like its own category, just not sports.

So what games do you think will sell the most in 2009?

The multiplatform games that should make it:
- GH5, AC2, MW2, Harry Potter (on every platform), Madden?

I'm ignoring WiiSports. Also ignoring sales of a franchise on handhelds, so M&S doesn't get Wii + DS sales.

WiiFit has done 6m now - its in. I don't think WiiPlay or MK will make it.

WiiFitPlus is in. A lot of existing WiiFit owners will buy it, and it will take over from WiiFit as the balance board attachment sales. Depends on when its released, but it could do 10m for the year.

WS:R is easily in, and I still think will be #1. Whether it beats out all the multi-platform combined titles or WiiFit+...?

I agree, it is pointless to say "top selling games, if you exclude the top selling games." I'll answer as if the thread is just "What will the 15 top selling games of 2009 be that were released as new in 2009, then you can exclude the ones from the top sellers that don't fit your tastes.
