Great topic. One note, even if you love FF VII you'll probably have no problem playing FF IX. IX is my favourite, VII my second favourite.

yeah thats uncommon , most people who liked FFVII liked FFVIII , FFIX was very different some people didn't like it.

FF7 & FF8 fanboys had a nasty shock with FF9......back in the day

which along with ofcourse PS2's release hype led to FF9's low sales (for a FF)
