Forums - Nintendo - In West, Monster Hunter 3 will be huge seller or will bomb heavily?

I expect it to receive a pretty decent marketing push, so betwenn America and Europe it will get at most 1 million ( which would be excellent seeing the sales of the old versiones )

A modest success, I think. 500k-1M.

i will but it, and it will be my first monster hunter

hello how are you.

i think it will sell like 500k or something

If it's bundled with black wii it will sell good.

But imagine that lucasarts announce a SW game with long awaited 1:1 lightsaber mechancis, and nintendo bundles it with black wii and red glow (WM+ included). that thing would sell gazillions.

Out of Japan, it isn't so hot. It could trick the WRPG fan into a purchase or something, but Nintendo would have to really push the advertising.

In America, probably 220k.

but Monster Hunter isn't an RPG....you don't gain levels....at all. The closest you get to levels is Hunter Rank, which just allows you to go on more quests and if you have the PSP version, unlock more Farm Points.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

They need to advertise and have a cartoon if possible.

There is a monster hunter anime already. It's bloody huge in japan. I really think people need to play one of these games. It's my favorite game, however it's not for everyone.

If the west get the Black Wii bundle, it will sell a ton.

Also, if its advertised well... there is no reason it cant be a hit.

I know, but it could have a slightly similar appeal. People never interested in this type of stuff, let alone on the Wii, could maybe relate it to something els they played that seems like it. Off-Topic: Why wasn't MHG released on the Wii in America? Might as well open people up to the series now...........
