I took the ACT. Got a 17. Whatever. Poor Indiana, all alone.

Didn't take it. Took the ACT twice.

Scored like a 28 then a 32. Didn't study either time.

^ How was the ACT?

ACT isn't bad at all. I got a 27 on mine.

I took the SAT and the GRE both were easy. The SAT sucked because I got done the math sections in about half the time they gave us, so I sat around and couldn't leave or go on to the next section either. Now, I like working on paper better, but the PC versions have the advantage of being able to skip to the next section. I think I maybe got 1 question wrong across both the SAT and GRE math sections, but math is my strongest subject. The real thing about the Math, is if you know your basic algebra and learn the few tricks they are going to throw at you it is a piece of cake.

As for the reading/comprehension section, I wished I had more time as I'm a very slow reader and it takes me forever to understand what they are asking me to answer. I can do the analogies mostly by process of elimination, but when I have to read the story/narrative and answer questions that killed me. I did ok on this and above national average but nothing phenomenal.

As for the newer essay section, I think I got a 4, but I didn't care as that was only on my GRE and I was going to engineering so it didn't matter much at all.

I hate the English/Reading part of standardized tests. I tend to do well on mathematics and science based questions but bomb English and logic ones (for reference I got a 28 on the ACT). I'm from Eastern Kentucky and went to public school so my vocabulary isn't as varied as it should be, so when you ask me to compare 'blank' is to 'blank' as 'blank' is to 'blank,' I'm lucky if I'm know what one of the words mean, let alone trying to guess what the others mean and make the appropriate comparison.

Wow, a lot of you guys did good on the ACT, except for one person.

I got a 23. I will do better when I retake it.

Well I took the ACT a while ago.  They've made changes since... but i had no probs.

Also yeah... the GRE's really aren't any harder then the ACTs.

I didn't study for those either, and had a cold so bad I couldn't even finish my math portion because i had an unstoppable coughing fit due to one of the employees making their lunch in the microwave... where i still had bad coughing during the english before.

and I still tested well above average in English and finished average in math despite not even being able to get through all the test.

I only took the ACT and didn't really study at all for it. I took it twice and got 22 both times. Did decent in science and a few other subjects but sucked it up in math. I probably should have taken it again because we then started covering a lot of questions that were on the ACT in my math class after I took it. I didn't care though and still was accepted to a few colleges. I pretty much slacked a lot during my senior year and I think my GPA dropped a decent amount down to about a 2.6 or 2.7. I just stopped caring about school.
