^^ Say, naznatips, is Phoenix Wright 3 out in the US yet? I'm considering importing.

no, but go ahead and import.  They have the full english version on the import cartridge and it costs no more than it will in retail if you get it from here http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9g-49-en-15-Gyakuten%2BSaiban%2B3-70-220c.html

@ starcraft

I whole-heartedely agree, which is why the Wii will never see FFXIII. Thankfully, the 360 is fairly close to the PS3 is raw applicable power terms so..............

I was actually more thinking about the XBox 360, the gap of course isn't as big as compared to the Wii but still very significant with newly built game engines.

@ Yojimbo

If LO need 4 discs how many discs will FFXIII need for 360? I am asuming that FFXIII will have better graphics because it comes later and will probably have more CGI.

They once stated they will use all of the currently available 50 GBs. So that would mean at least 6 DVDs without significant art and sound downgrades. If they would someday do a fictual wishfull thinking XBox 360 port, they may also need to replicate certain data on various discs for user convenience purposes (less disc swapping), so maybe even more discs would be required.

PS3 vs 360 sales

Anyone else getting the feeling that Square is the corporate definition of a multiple personality. They have only railed against Sony over and over month after month about everything they are doing wrong. Then they reward them with stated exclusivity. Now Sony really doesn't have to care what they say about anything.

Square talks a great game about moving into other markets, and increasing their sales to fifty percent international. Then they leverage their most promising titles on the poorest performing console internationally. When logic would dictate any of the other two consoles, or producing the game for multiple consoles. Perhaps it might be cheaper and faster, but you know its also very risky.

I seriously wonder if Square has ever heard the saying "Don't bite the hand that feeds you." There not helping the PS3 with their comments, and more to the point Sony has not shown a willingness to follow their advice. I think if your going to make your premiere titles exclusive to a console you should at the very least show a greater degree of public faith.

Anyway its all quite bizarre. The only rational explanation is that Square has been given a significant amount of money to make the title exclusive. Thats the only rational explanation.

Or maybe they just want the game to be on the best possible hardware, or just don't feel like abandoning Sony. Or maybe they like the fact they can put it all on one disc.

@ Dodece

From a development perspective they have complimented the PS3 on various occasions. With regard to marketing Sony made some mistakes and deserved some criticism. IMO it's good that they state their criticism openly where justified, I think it adds credit to their positive remarks regarding the hardware.

XBox 360 game developers, often seem censored, retracting statements or sometimes spread misinformative propaganda (for example Epic, with regard to Gears).

Back in the good old days I wasn't much interested in the PS2 at all, but I did publicly defend Sony against some fierce criticism regarding their inclusion of a DVD drive. In hindsight I stand 100% firm on my words, I wouldn't have bought God of War 2 for my PS3 if the game would've been split onto 12 or more CDs.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

@ hunter_alien

I've exchanged views with XBox 360 fans, who constantly pointed to rumours Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII would probably come for the XBox 360.

shams did. Not only did he think FFXIII would go multi platform but he thought it would have same day release. I laughed my ass of then because I knew that would never happen.

I told 360 fans from the beginning that the odds of FFXIII or Versus XIII going to the 360 is 0%.
