I blame Soriku for this idea XD. While I was in his recent Fragile thread http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=75914 I felt the need to go to youtube and watch a couple of Tales of intros. I really love the Tales series but sadly some of the main games have never been released outside of Japan (most of the Tales games have never hit Europe), such as Tales of Destiny 2(not to be confused with the American release of Tales of Eternia for PS1, which were named Tales of Destiny 2) and Tales of Rebirth. Plus, too often they have been missing on features the original versions had, such as Opening Songs (I love opening songs ), or skits without voices (It's wierd looking at people talking without making any sound.). Hey, these are important features, don't laugh .

Anyway, as everyone know the Wii has got a couple of ports, and more are coming, and this can be good, it can be bad.

What I'm trying to say is, Namco should join and make a Tales of Collection for Wii, consisting of at least Phantasia, Destiny, Eternia, Destiny 2, Rebirth, Abyss, Legendia (though I don't like Legendia, but oh well...) and Symphonia (more is welcome of course). It may be to much to fit into one collection but they could divide it after release dates, Tales teams, something. Maybe Destiny and sequel, Eternia and Rebirth in one collection, and Phantasia, Abyss, Legendia and Symphonia in a second collection.

The important thing (IMO) is that they have the original openings, complete voice acting, everything the original versions had. Yes, having Japanese voices in everyone is probably to much to ask for, but that would be beyond fantastic.

Ok. Yes, yes I know, I'm brilliant. Now I just need Namco to understand this.

A Tales of Anthology (or some such) would be great for me, especially since i've missed out on the majority. it is very difficult for me to pursue the series because Namco seems to have some sort of problem localizing these games, well that and i don't have a PS1/2 anymore.

I hope they stop improving the games and porting them to PS consoles as well, or at least give Nintendo/MS consoles the improved versions as well. It tore me apart when they improved and ported Symphonia to the PS2 because i don't like holding inferior copies of games, it's a mission just to convince myself to even play the game. Now they've gone and done that with Vesperia as well, and that's not even out in Europe yet :/

Call it "A Collection of Tales" and bring it to NA (damn it) and I'll buy it.

Namco wouldn't localize it (they seem to have something against 2D games, with the DS ones still being Japan-only) so it would be kind of moot.

Originals (and various PS1, PS2, PSP remakes) are still easy to get on Ebay and I'd rather have them make new games rather than retouching old ones.

There are fanmade undubs (Japanese audio, English text) for Legendia, Abyss, Symphonia 2 and Eternia (the psp version), bless them.

I guess I have to learn Japanese then, to ever be able to play Rebirth and Destiny 2 :(

Namco should allow XSEED to localize Tales games that Namco aren't planning to localize themselves. They gave them Retro Game Challenge and Fragile, so why not Tales??

Would love for someone to localize the DS games at least.
Rebirth and ToD2 also had a PSP release in Japan so it's not like they'd have to release PS1 games.

Unfortunately, it will probably remain wishful thinking.

Nah. It'd be good for someone who only wants to play the stuff, but I'd still get all saparately cause I'm a collector.
