Forums - Nintendo - Team Ninja? Really?!?!?

prime were not the best selling nor the best metroids. The sales of the prime games were lowering.Call it lack of improvement from retro. They had to be changed. Is also good to see the series creator involved in his creation for once again. Retro took many features from metroid away.I waited for years to see Metroid back as it is, from Nintendos hands themselves, and if they wanted support from Ninja team, all for the better.

I knew Ninty was powerful but I never knew they had the ability to raise the dead.

PS. Jackass.

Actually metroid prime IS the best selling metroid. It's also one of THE best metroids made(I'm not going to say it's the best one bc that's totally subjective)

Metroid prime 3 is selling pretty good compared to other metroids with only metroid fusion and Metroid out sellin it.

But yes, they need to revamp the series because they need to sell over 2-3M copies... Metroid prime sold 2.83M copies... They need to top that with this new metroid. I hope it will sell 3M copies atleast.

When did selling 2.5m copies become a bad thing?

It's like Michael Bay remaking Star Wars.

Again, it pains me.

Would Lucas do it better?

Serious question.

Having read that 1up interview, I'm very reassured that i) Nintendo is the directing force in the project, ii) the director is the same as Fusion.

This also explains the lack of 2D Metroid for the DS. The team have been involved in this. And the interview said that a handheld game was possible and that, "if they were to make one", it would use ideas not possible in Other M and vice versa. Which is a good sign.

It's a Nintendo franchise... And I never said it was a bad thing.

And metroid prime 3 only sold 1.55M copies. That's not very good for a Nintendo franchise.

Well I think people were not too happy when Sega were given F Zero on Gamecube but that turned out to be an absolutely amazing game. Far far far far far far far better than the Nintendo made Gamecube racing games (Wave Race and Mario Kart).

I think this will work out well.

You have officially failed.... yeah that's right, my opinion is better than yours

1. F-Zero X
2. MKWii
3. Wave Race: Blue Storm

4. F-Zero GX
5. Mario Kart DD

6. Mario Kart 64
7. F-Zero

The gaps indicate a gap, or indeed a chasm of quality... so although I believe FZGX is above MKDD it is not by much.
(I haven't played other MK/F-Zero or Wave Race games so I left them out)

Oh, brilliant question.

I'd have to answer "yes" because Lucas has made several brilliant films while Bay has made... none.

Despite George's apparent senility, I'll give him the nod.

^I would agree RP if I knew who Michael Bay was.... I just thought the question needed to be asked
