I also want to mention that I enjoyed the game Uncharted, but it is over-rated, imo.

Finally, this article mentions the "Forza 3 verses GT" argument in a positive light for Forza 3. I thought people overlooked that.

Wait, did Rei really just claim that gamers don't believe Uncharted 2 is the game of the show because it doesn't show up the most on a scan of twitter posts and blogs and other internet musings? Am I missing something here?

I don't know what "gamers" think, but after E3, I doubt many sites besides 1up will give it GotS. Seems like a fluke to me. Naughty Dog have been consistantly putting out good games this gen, but they have been slightly missing the AAAs. I highly doubt Uncharted 2 was the best game at the show. Good, no doubt, but the best? GT5, GoWIII, Forza 3, and a crapload of other great games was there.

I understand though. People thought R2 was GotS last year.

    Uh oh, I dont think that either 1up or Buzzstudy provide an objective view on what was the best game of the show. Buzzstudy is closer to reality, however, and that's why I posted it.

Uncharted 2 showed several minutes of great gameplay, so I doubt it was just a fluke. And how has Naughty Dog been consistently putting out good games this generation? They've only come out with one game for current generation consoles (the original Uncharted), and its sequel is going to hit later this year. So by consistently putting out good games, you mean...Uncharted counts as "games?" I don't see how Uncharted misses the "AAA," or what AAA is even supposed to mean. If you're going by the 90%+ method on Metacritic/Gamerankings, then you're making a losing argument. On Gamerankings, it's at 89.62%. We're talking .38% less than a 90% average. Besides that, Mass Effect is considered AAA on aggregrating sites, but it's not deserving of it at all. The game suffers from constant framerate hitches, loading times out of nowhere, waiting really long times in elevators, and that's not even counting problems that could surface from personal opinion.  How is Uncharted 2 not the best game at the show anyways? I'm sure 1UP was at E3, and I'm sure they had a good time. So let me ask you, were you at E3? Did you see lots of footage from the games and possibly even play them yourself? Did you play enough of the likes of GT5, GoW III, and Forza 3 to form a nice unbiased opinion and judge each one fairly? By the way, do you have any evidence that "people" thought that Resistance 2 was the game of the show last year? Anything? Impress me, please.

It's closer to reality how? The people from 1UP and Buzzstudy probably had hands-on with the games and got to play them. I'd say that's a good opportunity to form an opinion. And you claimed that "gamers" thought differently. But these were really just scans of various places on the internet. And whose to say they thought the games were good? You will find that Natal has the most buzz out of anything in that list, but for all we know, it could just be that 90% of the links are from people who think it looks awful. Let me quote the article itself:

"Oh, and bear this in mind: buzz is buzz. It doesn't differentiate between "good" and "bad", just how often something is discussed. After all, any publicity is good publicity, right?"

Usually I would, but writing it all in one paragraph makes it look like a really long, crazy rant. That's the style I'm going for.

   What are you trying to prove here? I said that neither source is objective, have you missed that part?

   What we have here is opinion of five "professional" editors vs. compilation of various internet articles gathered by Buzzstudy. Neither is objective. But out of the two, Buzzstudy is closer to reality.
