You must have enabled you browser's crap filter because I certainly read a lot of it in this thread.  Don't try to claim it's not the same in both the PS3 and MS forums.

You know people, the guy from Turn 10 is right. Since GT5 is on another console, hes glad he doesn't have to compete with it.

Your a hypocrit if you own a ps3 then.  When the PS3 first came out they were masters at spewing BS of which they knew a lot of was a lie.  Atleast with Forza 3, they seem to have lived up to or exceeded most peoples expectations.

Turn 10 has been working on this game for a while now, they are obviously proud of it and being a bit cocky is a good sign to me.  They are proud of what they have done with a limited time frame and budget compared to GT5.  Give them a break, they are doing nothing that hasn't been done by any of the other developers out there including the ones who make GT5.

Sony had earned some arrogance. They had made the 2 most succesful consoles ever, and so they had a right to expect that of their fans. On the other hand, Forza 1 & 2 are not the best selling racing games, and yes they have had good reviews, but I'll be honest, would I prefer to buy a game from a British studio who come on and just show what they have, or a guy who comes on and goes on and on about how this is the definite racing game for about 10 minutes.

And yeah, Sony did come out with a bit of BS, and actually I did have to pay far more than $650 because I live in the UK, but in the end it has been worth it, I think the PS3 has a far better library than the Xbox.

Yet you own a PS3?  Made by the company that told you people will work extra hours to afford the PS3 because is so awesome and they will want it?

I have a PS3 as well but if you're not going to buy something based on company arrogance I would think you'd have stayed as far away from Sony products as possible lol

Arrogance didn't stop him from buying MGS4 either. Munkeh's double standards pretty much declare "I'm a fanboy".

I bought a PS3, because I had a PS2 and PS1 and PSP, and the reason that Sony were arrogant is because of the success of their previous products, and as I said, Forza were not the most succesful racing games. Anyway, I did not buy the PS3 because of the Sony higher ups, though I do like Tretton, but because of their studios. Now when Evan Wells came up and showed 1up's game of the show, Uncharted 2, he just talked about what they were doing, not about what their competitors were doing, and just showed amazing footage.

About MGS 4, well it is a masterpiece, and if I considered myself a proper gamer, I could not go without buying it, and I happened to finish my exams on that same day

Oh yes, and I am a bit of a hypocrit, I despise Dom Mattrick, so annoying, but I have an Xbox. I hate Steve Jobs more than any other person in the world (well, probably only just), but he showed a quality product in the iPod Touch, so I got one of those.

That's still hypocrisy Munkeh. You said you don't support "idiots like that" and Sony has spewed some the most arrogant and flat out ridiculous statements in gaming history. Only Hiroshi Yamauchi, owner and former president of Nintendo, can rival the stuff several different Sony executives have said this generation. Not only that, game creators in general seem to frequently say similar things when interviewed. Modesty seems to be the less common stance taken when developers are asked about their game titles.

He doesn't know how GT5 will play by the way and going by history, GT5 >>> Forza 3, but why am I wasting my time with you anyways? If they put your favorite game on a Sony console it would automatically suck.

 

 

 

Forza 3 has full tyre deformation. If GT5 doesnt have this it loses straight away as best sim on console. Go and study what that means for the handling of the car. And no I'm just referring to tyre wear. Deformation during a corner with different tyres affects handling. Like Zen said, Forza 3 is taking things forward.

These are the rules:

1. No platformer series is as good as Super Mario Bros.
2. No fighting game series is as good as Street Fighter
3. No football game is as good as Madden
4. No other RPG is as good as Final Fantasy
5. No racing game series is as good as Gran Turismo

Now I didn't make these rules. That's just the way things are. Any other opinion is wrong. That's a fact. Forza 3 may be a great game, but if they go around making claims like this, Turn 10 can expect a visit from "The Illuminati" (Mario, Solid Snake, The Square from Tetris, and John Madden, and Master Chief).

First of all WHY THE HELL did Zen Include GT5:P on metacritic & NOT include GT4:P or GT Tokyo Concept?

Secondly.....the fact that they have to say this ALONE tell you they are insecure of something, I wonder what that may be...

Thirdly....neither game is out so lets leave this debate
