Well, if it was Sony and Microsoft PR in May 2006, then that means the disruption that occurred was expected.

Which is even crazier; imagine seeing whats about to occur and being able to do nothing to stop it? Honestly either one of two things happen either the disruptor becomes the standard or becomes a compliment to the incumbent. TBH, M$ and Sony and maybe even the media, don't know this yet, but in hindsight, this E3 will be remembered as the begining of the end of the consoles as we knew them. They are playing right into Nintendo's hands. The E3 of 08 that everyone accused Nintendo as being lame was a preemptive response to what eventaully happened at this E3. M$ and Sony have validated Nintendo completely, and any attempt at swiming downstream will be met with a ruthless  Nintendo and one hell of a dog fight.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

^it will be interesting to see how that sells because oftentimes the medical profession says people don't like to buy products like that that could show them how bad off they are.

When was XBox+ announced? Or are you just pulling things out of your... moneyhat?

About the press, remember that before the Wii and PS3 was released, the press everywhere was saying "Wii's going to kill Nintendo and sell at most 15 million, PS3's gonna kill the 360 and sell 200 million at least." The press doesn't mean anything. People are gonna buy the games that are more fun, not the games that the games media adores.

This.

How is it press bias. Just because they like Natal and something MS its press bias??? Please do you research before trying to attack MS. Even Polls and Vgchartz agrees that MS had the best E3. And also MS had the same amount of games for the 360 as the PS3 its main competitor.

Plus the Natal Hype is because IT IS something like never before where as SONY wand is a blatant rippoff the Wii controller

Very true. But if it gets incorporated into Wii Fit Plus or something, and/or bundled with something like an Eternal Darkness sequel...

Well, it won't counter Natal or anything, but things could be fun.

We've already seen the mainstream Western media hyping natal like no other comparable product in history. And almost all of the western videogame press says Microsoft won E3 despite the loack of new high quality exclusive software at Microsoft's show and largely because of Natal. If shows like CBS Evening News, Oprah, or Ellen start saying Natal is the best thing ever, that's sure to have some kind of effect.

Western Media also hyped the PS2 so there is no press bias

But at the same time as far as games go, it wasn't casual, social, or community type games that seemed to have the strongest prescence at this year's E3 but first person cinematic action adventure games.

Ninty doesn't have to do anything. Natal isn't a threat.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

sell more than the wii?

i dont think so, even if both M$ and Sony find a way to rip off Mario, like, a really good rip off.

I think as long as m$ and sony dont think of their own original ideas (wich im sure they can if they try), they might get more sales.
