There is already a remix of the BAM moment. Now they just need to add in a few instances of "This isn't the kind of game where you just end up on the sofa using some kind of preset waggle commands".

There were a lot of big names supporting the PS3 at launch too, it didn't help a lot.
You also forget that Nintendo is working with Ubisoft on a camera that will launch this year. A bit of tweaking and the Wii will have its own system to compete with Natal tech, but before Natal.
The 360 has carved its part for the core market, the Wii is the system for the casual market and long-term Nintendo fans. There will be nothing this generation that will bring the casual market away from the Wii, plain and simple.
When the people behind Natal show me how they are going to run around in an FPS level, I'll give them credit. Until then, this is a goofy experiment that will cost MS more than they will make from.
Since the Wii is starting to break its stride, the graphics are getting much better, some comparing closely to early 360 games.
What it sounds like, is that your fanboy bias is so extreme that you are holding onto natal as your last hope to take some steam away from Nintendo. I hate to tell you, but it's not going to work out that way.
The industry has already decided what the 3 systems excel best at -
360 = online gaming, core gaming
PS3 = strong graphics, advanced physics, Blu Ray technology
Wii = motion controls, casual gaming, family-friendly gaming
Granted, there are markets for the HD systems to have some casual gaming, but its a smaller amount than their core gaming. There also is a market for Wii core gaming, but its a smaller market than the casual market on the Wii.
This is pretty much set in stone, this generation is decided by the people that make it happen - the publishers and developers. Washed up people like Spielberg can't even change that now.
^
why you have to diss Spielberg like that? Boom Blox is awesome!
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
I wasn't waiting for that new super mario on wii...
After mario galaxy 2 and metroid I almost had a heart attack
and Nintendo would have done the best E3 of all if they had shown a trailer of the new Zelda
*thinking about how Sony and MS would react*

Wow! from your little defensive deluded post it seems that your the fanboy, you made it clear for all to see!
I own all three consoles, I don't really care what sells what or what does what, all i'm after is the most enjoyment which the 360 provides by the masses, it's not a console which only becomes fun when you have freinds around or once you had a few drinks (hint), I'm just stating my view which I will stick by as your reply did nothing more than make you look very very silly specially when you resort to slagging people like spielberg off, very childish.......

To tell the truth I think casual/hardcore should be applied to gamers, not games. You can play Wii Play in a hardcore way (check out Wii Play youtube videos).

I think we should just stop splitting everything in to two groups in general, they're both are rather flawed to begin with (and really, by today's standards, people seem to generally define the former as "lolnintendo" and the later as "HD M-RATED GAMEZ WITH GUNZ," which is rather lulzy in general as well).
^Natal will be big for people next gen who want to do similar Wii stuff and also control their tv stuff with hand gestures and speech.
That seems like a big market.
They already have streaming netflix.
Pricepoint.
Lots of games.
near HD graphics
Brand name.
Media Center capability
It's pretty good, even without playing any games

More hack-job journalism, nothing new to see here people.
*Gratuitous falme-bait signature that mocks two or more consoles while praising another*

FK, we all know that you indeed are a troll, so your words don't matter much here. Most people know who I am and what I'm about, so calling me a fanboy makes you' look even more ignorant to the facts.
Defensive post? Hardly. I am simply echoing what the industry sees, as I do work within it. I apologize for bursting your bubble, but Natal will not be the "Jesus of motion controls" that you hope it will be. Your view that you plan to stick by is extremist and baseless. I will rescind my statement if you can prove to me now what grounds exist to make the casual market, (who btw, will either neer hear of Natal, or will this week and forget by the time it releases), will suddenly shift gears to play tennis games (as shown in the Natal demo) when its only shown to be as good as a experience as Wii Sports tennis. I don't want to hear "just you wait!", that's not how the industry works. There's either an interest or a lack thereof for a product to even work with it, and the general buzz thus far is as stated last post, which I feel no need to reiterate.
If you want clarification and/or proof of this, look how much support Nintendo had for the Wii at first. A lot of publishers and developers weren't interested in the system at the time. Natal will need to prove its usefulness, it will not be initially accepted by the industry as it is by loney 20-somethings who think they have mastered all knowledge of the world (and I paraphrase now - hint).
When Natal can show its usefulness to the existing 360 market, core fps/action games, then it will muster experience. Steven Spielberg is nothing in this industry, he's a movie director, thus insignificant to the industry. You might as well say that Jay-Z loves MotionPlus. It's all irrelevant. Tell me Will Wright or Kojima are crazy about Natal, it wil have merit. Spielberg does for the game industry what George Bush Jr. does for calculus.
To make you feel better, I'm not writing off Natal outright, or saying "Natal sucks! LULZ!". I'm saying that the device will not attract the larger casual market, and should really start answering questions the industry has, which basically are about how it will apply to the userbase the 360 is known for.
I think it's a troll article, and if it's not, the writer was incredibly stupid.
And lol at calling himself a Nintendo fanboy, which is obviously an attempt to cover the bias.
