So you've decided to piss on all forza 3 threads?

No wonder, I'd be angry to if I had bought a ps3 just for Gran Turismo and still was waiting two years later - http://digg.com/playstation/New_Gran_Turismo_5_Trailer (search for kanariya in there).

If you are pissed because you can't play it yet, direct your rage towards PD and Sony, not towards the hard-working competition.

Oh crap, I just got myself an angry stalker on the board.

Are you offended with people stating opinions? I'm sorry if you're so easily offended.

You are the only angry man here. You paid 400$ for a ps3 in 2007 to play GT5. You bought a G25 wheel (around 200$ if I am correct?) to play GT5.

Two years and 600$ later all you have is a souped up demo you had to pay for the privilege of playing.

And still no release date for GT5.

That's a whole lotta of frustration pent up there but just blasting rage all over someone else's party because they are actually enjoying the moment isn't gonna change anything.

I guess by now you are already tired/bored of GT5p, so get a 360 and actually get to play a first quality racer. You'll mood will improve.

Yep I spent $300 on the PS3 with BF deal and $200 on the G25 mainly for GT5P and PC racing sims.

It was well worth it that since then I've put hundreds of hours into the game.

G25 worths every penny I spent. And I still play GT5P occasionally.

I don't know why you have a problem with that if I can afford all those?

Not to mention that I enjoyed other PS3 games as well. And the Netflix BD rental is another bargain.

Oh yea I spent another $2000 for a 52" 1080P TV for the PS3 and a $1000 7.1 sound system if that makes you feel better.

Well since you got loads of money, why don't you just buy a $200 dollar 360 (or even cheaper one used) and buy F3 when it comes out...you really won't be dissapointed.  Its alot better of a game then you are making it out to be.

Then why are you so angry about Forza? You've been incessantly spamming every Forza 3 thread in a fit of emo rage.

If you have so much spare money, how come you don't have a 360 for Ace Combat and terrific racers like Forza 2, PGR 4, Race Pro and the upcoming Forza 3? Playing games will make you much happier than salivating over CGI trailers and throwing fists on forums like vgchartz.

You are clearly trying to play it cool, but you are obviously bothered by the situation. Just looking at your account activity since Microsoft's conference gives a clear picture about what's going on. It's obvious you are a huge GT buff and as much effort as you can do to convince yourself waiting is good, waiting this long isn't good for anybody. And it shows: your posts are full of rage and show considerable efford towards downplaying the candy the other kids get to taste. Well, join the feast buddy!

It's a shame Sony has mismanaged the whole situation, but you don't have to suffer through it. There are alternatives. Enjoy them =)

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

Wow, it's just like GT5 except without the Nascar license, WRC license, JGTC license, TV support (Top gear/Option/Best motoring etc), the graphics, the amount of cars, the amount of REAL tracks, the damage (odd how Forza is missing damage this time around but GT5 just introduced it), the fanbase/online community, and possibly the inclusion of Formula 1.

But yeah, other than that they're pretty much equal. ;)

I think Forza 3 is better because I know when its coming, its sooner!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly! I think GT5 is likely to be better overall (longer dev time, substantially larger budget, it SHOULD be) but Forza is a scrappy underdog that has really really brought his A game. I feel like GT5 was probably going to give a release date, then they saw Forza and thought "Oh *#%! we're gonna need to upgrade our video editor"

I was thinking the same exact thing.  It must be heartbreaking to all of those GT5 fanatics out there. This thing looks as good if not better than anything GT5 has shown to date, even their CGI stuff.  While I knew Turn 10 would bring it, I didn't think it would be this outstanding.  I won't say that Forza 3 has this one in the bag, it does seem like GT5 has a long way to go.

I'm not angry about Forza. I just disagree that it's owning GT5P graphically.

I don't need you to tell me how to spend my money. =)

I said it several times that I think Forza 3 will be a good game but you just seem to ignore it.

And you still haven't answer my question that HOW does Forza 2 have better physics than GT5P.

But I get BBC on my TV. Switching discs is proved by Sony fans to be extremely difficult, so now im going to struggle to switch channels?

I feel less and less capable as a person with all the PS3 fans running around arguing how hard it is to do certain things. ;_;.

Tease.

If you aren't angry, how come you are all over the place pissing all over the threads. I understand than to wait for so many years losing on so many great games hoping for the day GT5 ships means you must idolize the game up to a certain point but all the flurry of posts these days? What's going on!

I certainly can't tell you how to spend your money, but I can certainly suggest things that'll make you happier. And if you are a car-guy who's into racing games, playing racing games helps.

Both games have tweaked physics to improve playability but Forza's "god hand protecting you" is way, way less noticeable. Additionally, the boat physics applied to cars when it comes to collisions and racetrack elements on GT5p feel very very outdated. Finally, I feel Forza 2 offers way better feedback on car handling and grip than GT5p - the way you can feel you are riding the edge of grip on Forza 2 is amazing.

Then, there's damage - you were talking about how the lack of fear changes the way we drive in these games. Well, damage brings that fear back - you won't certainly break your neck playing a game, but a bad crash and it's time to reset the race. That penalty changes the way you play and makes you consider how aggresive or not you should be driving and when you are pushing it to catch the race leader knowing a mistake will send you back to the start it ticks in a way GT5p doesn't.

Granted, I haven't played GT5p in a long time and they've been patching things up so my impressions probably aren't up to date.

As I said, you are obviously free to do whatever you want to do but if you like to play racing games sitting on GT5p ignoring the Forza's and PGR's (this one's arcadeish but so fun and varied) isn't wise.

You keep repeating the samething over and over again. I didn't just jump on Forza3. I stated my opinion on GT5P and Forza when people were making unfair comparison like using PR bullshot to compare with gameplay screenshot. How is it angry that I'm just disagree with other people's opinions on the graphics?

For the physics part, I'm not saying which has better physics but do you have any track experience to support your opinion? Just because it feels better doesn't mean it's behaving correctly. If you don't have any experience at it I don't know what are you basing on to claim Forza has better physics. Also, were you playing with a wheel or controller?

Damage - Yes, it's better than nothing. But face it, it's a video game. It WILL not bring you the fear of racing a real car on the track even with damage. What do you do after you crashed? Try again. What do you do after you crashed in real life? Go to the hospital. It's the fear that will stop you from driving to the line of limit and over aggressive. In a game you just pedal down to the max and brake as late as you can without much fear of crashing. Damage model will add a degree of simulation element but it won't stop you from doing the above.

Mind you I played Forza 2 over friend's place. I'm not ignoring it and I think the 3rd will be a good game. I just disagree with some of the opinions here. How hard is that?

I never understood why people spend hours out of their time critiquing a game on a console they don't own. Some sort of a subconcious effort to convince themselves that the grass definitely is not greener on the other side? Or perhaps waiting for a mythical release date for a game on their console of choice leaves them with nothing else to do....

I'm sure GT5 will be great. Given the time, budget and man power,it should be. The surprise here is that Forza 3 has by far done the biggest leap on a sequel in the same generation than any other series. It's a massive improvement over Forza 2 and they managed to do in just 2 years time. That's impressive.
