Forums - Microsoft - 360 NEEDS new and original exclusives

@Zen

Considering the best New software at the show was Mario Galaxy 2, The Other M, and The Last Guardian, I don't believe so.  Microsoft had nothing comparable to those three.  And, other than Splinter Cell, Modern Warefare 2 (multiplat), and Shadow Complex, they didn't have anything comparable to Fallout 3, and Gears and Fable 2.

Alan Wake looked very poor in comparison to the most recent videos for Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, God of War 3, Assassin's Creed 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, The Last Guardian, The Other M, The Saboteur, Resident Evil Dark Chronicles. It is very far down the list of the most exciting action adventure game at E3. And what is it doing tell its story in different episodes? Trying to emulate the last Alone in the Dark?

...you might not have liked it, but survival horror fans went nuts.

In fact, anyone who likes Assassin's Creed doesnt' deserve to play Alan Wake, imo.

That said, you have every right to your opinion, as I mine. Most people agree with me though. AW looked goooooood. :)

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

That's your opinion, and while I certainly respect your right to an opinion, that doesn't necessarily mean I believe that what you are saying is your actual opinion, and not marketing.

Now, I agree, MG2 was the best looking new software at the show. However, MS and the PSP showed off a lot of new, great looking software, and a lot MORE of it, so yeah, that's my very, very popular opinon. Some would even call it obvious, but not me. I'm not arrogant enough to pretend my opinion is obvious...just popular.

And Final Fantasy XIV? Give me a break... Final Fantasy now is just a name, we lose this great game in the Final Fantasy IX, Now is just a matter of money, and we don't need to say that this game will be "exclusive" only temporarily. But it is not a big deal, since this game is a FF online.

What we saw about the PS3 (in the E3) that we didn't knew? This is the question that we have to make. Where are the ps3 games?

360 and the words "Original Exclusives" don't go together.

Ahem...please give Microsoft a while to aquire a shitload of studios like Sony. They are doing very well despite having a lot less studios under their control.

That's their own fault. They had BioWare, they had Pandemic, they had Bizzare.....they sold them though. I can't "give them time" to acquire studios when all they do is sell them off

Microsoft never had Pandemic or Bioware. They worked closely with them, but they never purchased them. Both were purchased by EA so oh well. Microsoft is still doing well with their third party support and sucks for Bizzare because Turn 10 was always better.

@Zen, How about we bet 1/4th of our vgchartz dollars that none of this year's E3 exclusives for 360 have higher review scores at IGN this year than Gears 2 did last year?

@Hisiru, Final Fantasy is still much more than a name to many people. I guarantee XIII, Versus XIII, and XIV will all sell over 2 million copies in Japan.

For everyone calling me out on the GT5 having more Cars and tracks...

The dumbed down PSP version of the game has 800 cars and 64 tracks.

Watch Sony PC.

...uhh...ill just put my favorite quote of all time here.

"Welcome to Pain, the second of three...You have dealt the first...now deal with me!!"

Booo! I like AC and I am interested in Alan Wake so according to you I don't deserve to play the game? That's cruel man.

The problem with Halo is that the game is mainly an FPS. Games like this only have so many successors before they are retired. Mario lasts long because he is a platformer and he is culturally etched into the hearts of children and adults who grew up with him 20+ years ago. The Halo war cannot go on forever. God of War will die with the third game and that makes perfect sense. Microsoft better think of a successor and fast, because you can only too so much with Master Chief and the Halo universe. The only reason Microsoft hasn't let it go is because it is the highest grossing title. If the only way i'll agree to the Halo universe continuing is if a new threat came to earth. Nintendo created characters that forever will be loved by adults and children alike and in their worlds there is always another battle. Mario never gets old....we do.
