Forums - Microsoft - 360 NEEDS new and original exclusives

I think you're pretty much in the minority when you say Alan Wake didn't look impressive.

360 and the words "Original Exclusives" don't go together.

Ahem...please give Microsoft a while to aquire a shitload of studios like Sony. They are doing very well despite having a lot less studios under their control.

With Gran Turismo having over double the forza 3 car count and tracks...Thats some pretty stiff competition.

Got a link for that? I mean 800 cars and 200 tracks on GT5 sure doesn't sound right from what I've heard.

That is very impressive.

Alan Wake...eh, kinda dissapointing, wont lie to ya.

What kind of game would you like to see, to give your something "New"?

Yeah..its so totally disappointing.

Other then your Alan Wake comment, I agree 'almost' wholeheartedly. I want more things like Alan Wake, more new innovative gaming experiences. While these sequels are for the most part sequels TO previously innovative games(i.e. Splinter Cell Conviction is redefining its stealth action), they are indeed just sequels. I've been saying this for year,s and this is why I;m beginning to respect Microsoft themselves now is because of their innovation shown at Natal. Plus I mean hey, they are sequels to great games.

However, they have to do more then just that. They need innovative games to accompany such stuff. Which is why Molyneaux tries his hardest :P

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

So now that MS has plenty of games this year, the thing to criticize is that they are all sequels?

I just want something NEW....Left 4 Dead 2, Mass Effect 2, More Halo, Forza 3, Crackdown 2, etc....I'm tired of sequels.  Alan Wake is a breath of fresh air, but outside that, MS needs to try to get some third parties to do some exclusive NEW IP's.  I was hoping for a JRPG by Mist Walker, but they'll probably save that for TGS.

Yes Microsoft needs to stop making sequels...

God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, Metal Gear, Uncharted 2, Final Fantasy 13, Final Fantasy 13 VS, Final Fantasy 14, Ratchet and Clank (we have like 10 of them in 5 years, lol), Mario Galaxi 2, Mario Bros Wii, Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Metroid, etc...

It's just Microsoft.

This is VGChartz only bad things apply to Microsoft since they are evil.  (Oh wait I am doing it wrong it's M$).

Sony got exclusive games, fanboys go wow that's so cool FF14 and Agent.  If it was Microsoft then it's moneyhat.  The mere thought that the new MGS Raiden might be exclusive send some into hissy fit saying it's doesn't count as MGS game or Konami and Kojima had sold out.  Those two games were probably result of the change by Sony with their recent initiative (moneyhat but that term only apply to MS).

As for Wii well, that console is full of remake.  Even GameCube game got repackage into Wii games....

Why are these troll threads being allowed to stay open? Thats really all they are.

To answer the OP (and catch you out) what has GT having more tracks and cars than Forza 3 got anything to do with original games?

Because Forza is a whored out old franchise and Gran Turismo is a fresh IP, obviously.
