Remember IGN got the E3 trailer for FFCC:CB before E3 actually happened, so they may have also received some information we don't know about. Of course what would SE coference be without a Megaton. FFXIV and KH3 would be too much, so maybe FFXIV is the actual megaton.

Another important note is the absence of any kind of apology. They are ignoring the mistake altogether at this point.

For something this major an apology should be given if it TRULY WAS A MISTAKE. This leads me to believe that the story is true and there wouldn't be a way to apologize without confirming that the game exists
