Final Fantasy XIV will be bigger then a Halo game could ever IMAGINE to achieve. Sure Halo will get more slaes but quality lies with SE FF DEVS!!!!

I don't think alot can be said in favour or against FF14's apearance on the PS3 as exclusive , we don't know a whole lot about it apart from the fact that it's an MMO iteration of FF13.

I've been wanting an MMO on my PS3 for a while , I never expected it would be FF14 though. I won't get too excited about it until I know more.

If MGS:R is really multiplat (which everyone seems to think it will be) then FF14 is probably the biggest exclujsive announcement of the event.

I agree with the OP. I dont know why MMORPGs do get so much hate from console-gamers, but sooner or later the genre will take over the consoles too. It is just really growing too fast.

It is very smart for Sony to work their way in that direction.

How much of that userbase will be willing to pay a monthly subscription? How much of that userbase would play an MMO opposed to a traditional Japanese RPG? What mmos have been succesful, let alone console mmos? If we are going to include factors the one mentioned by you how about we include all of them.

@Zezlar I doubt FFXIV will have the quality Final Fantasy devs when they are working on XIII(the much better, and more important game). Even Versus a spinoff is more important than this.
