Forums - Nintendo - Zelda Wii Will Get Its Own Conference

I am not saying that there will be a Zelda Wii revealling conference at E3 2009, but I am saying there is no way they were going to make an announce of such magnitude and force it to share the limelight with their other announcements and such. When Zelda Wii is announced it will be kinda like the DQ10 announcement. It will be just for Zelda. I am hopeful they are saving it for the end of E3 to finish with all the momentum. But if not, I am more than happy with SMG2, SMB4, and Metriod (looks friggen awsome).

 

Oh, ya. Long time no see fellow VGchartians : ). I like the look of the new site.

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Would be cool, but probably won't happen. There's already a new Zelda for DS, and they won't release another Zelda so soon. Zelda Wii will probably be announced next year. Closer to it's release.

this seems like wishful thinking. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but there is no real precedent for the kind of scenario you describe all previous Zelda games have been announced at their main conference. of course they could be saving it for the Tokyo game show.

at nintendo's own show seems the most likely. i just hope it comes out soon, its been almost 3 years since the last zelda came out on a console.

Actually, I do remember Nintendo announcing a few games in the past not at the main conference. Guh, for the life of me I cant remember what games they were.... Some were major if I remember correctly.

ninty's october conference should be pretty sweet as was the one last year, however i do not expect Zelda announcment until next year. And i reckon pikmin will be out Q1 2010 (to make it do not suffer from Mario sales)

In my opinion, Zelda Wii will not be announced before Spirit Tracks is released.

Honestly, Nintendo can hold on to Wii Zelda a little longer. They have plenty already in the works, third parties aren't AWOL anymore... pacing themselves is a good idea.

Plus, with the time they hold it back, they can polish it until it glows./
