I think he knows that Gran Turismo will be better than Forza, so he's bragging it up while he can. Not that I'm impressed. He's basically saying that it will be better than Need for Speed, Grid, Burnout, and...the last Forza.

But personally, I think SHiFT looked much better, and they presented it without saying this is a greatest game ever

Well I'm talking about past Need for Speeds. To me, he was bragging that Forza 3 will be better than the likes of Need for Speed Prostreet and Undercover.

I can't say that bragging that it will be better than those 2 is much to brag about

So you think that Turn 10 decided, we are going to make a game, and call it definitive "for now",  because once Gran Turismo comes out, obciously it won't be anymore?

Sorry, I completely disagree.  Both of you may believe that Gran Turismo automatically trumps anything Forza, but I am absolutely positive that the team at Turn 10, is doing thier best to truly be the best racing game out there.  Whether they succeed or not is up in the air, but just as you say it's too early for them to say they are the "definitive" racing game, isn't it a bit too early to say that Gran Turismo has beat them already?

I think years from now, thier could be a Harvard case study on Sony's actions this generation; not because they failed miserable or went out business, but because of the amount of market share they lost, given the extreme brand loyalty they and thier exclusive IP's enjoy.

I never was really into the Beatles (way before my time), but I LOVED that performance at the beginning of the show. I even liked the video game footage. I know who the Beatles are, and what they represent, and I was so embarrassed for McCartney and Ringo when they took the stage, and the audience was DEAD. WTF, gaming community? Don't you recognize greatness!?

I was thoroughly impressed by Splinter Cell and Forza 3, though. I was a little let down by the Avatar racing game, but since I didn't expect it, and it's mostly free, I'll take it as a plus. It's just that avatars are so bland and generic.......

Okay. Take, for example, the declaration during the presentation that Forza 3 will have more cars and more models than any racing game released this generation. They bragged about how this is part of the game being so definitive, yet Gran Turismo 5 is almost certain to dwarf the number of cars Forza 3 has. Microsoft's whole E3 conference was about saying how they are the best, and Turn 10 shouldn't have said their game is definitive if their main competition isn't even out yet. Better than the other racing games this generation? Maybe. But GT5 could be coming out this year.

Forza 3, Left 4 Dead 2 & NATAL were the highlights for me. The worst was that facebook/twitter person - not so much her more the way she presented, she seemed to be nervous and out of place, also D Mattrick and the Beatles went on for far too long.

I would prefer they did what Shift did. They said this is what we have, let's show you some gameplay, and come to our booth and you can win a car!!!

And yes, GT 5 wins, because it has the Top Gear test track, but anyway, I just don't care about all that customisation crap. I am not saying that GT 5 will win, it is just going on and on about how it is the definitive game, just seems to horribly arrogant. There are some game devs that I quite like, I enjoyed Tim Shaffer's presentation at the EA conference, it makes me want to get the game more. Now despite that Turn 10 guy's awesome beard, he was just so so arrogant it was unbelieavable

That was the chick from "The Guild".  She's from some internet series that's available for download on Xbox Live.  If I didn't know better, I'd say she was still "in character".  I downloaded the shows months ago, and I loved it.  In Xbox world, she's a big deal!

Best - Metal Gear solid rising. Not because I am a fan (I am not) but because it looks cool.

Worst - Project NATAL, the jumping girl, the Mario Kart rip off, tony hawk showinmg his controler, the mattrick dude, twitter and facebook (are they joking?!), lack of more interesting games to show.

This was SO close to be like Nintendo's last years conference.

LOL, this is hilarious. i know deep inside, you wished nintendo had announced at least a few of the many games microsoft did anounce yesterday, instead of wii fit and wii music.....

I think it is a fair assessment that you (or anyone) could not appreciate Turn 10's presentation; different strokes for different folks.  I even think, that given the quality of previous GT games, that your expectations could be higher for GT5...  I wouldn't argue that either.

I just think it's jumping the gun to assume that Turn 10's goals are to be better than everybody else EXCEPT Gran Turismo.  I think they absolutely have GT as thier goal to beat BECAUSE of how high quality a racing sim GT is.

Great - Final Fantasy 13's English VA

Good - Alan Wake and Modern Warfare 2

Bad - Facebook/Twitter got more time than video games and Natal is no where near ready to be shown publicly.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."
