Forums - Gaming - What would it take for you die hard Sony fans to switch over to Microsoft?

I've said it before... a $60 price point for a used 360 Arcade with internal gamesave storage would do it for me. But only if it is this cheap before some decent turn based RPGs are released for the PS3 in America.

*Disclaimer* I do not consider Valkyria Chronicles strictly turn based, nor an RPG

Nothing would make me switch to be honest. It's a matter of loyalty. I'd rather quit gaming than ''Jump in''.

I don't understand this mentality.  I was a die hard Nintendo fan, but when I saw the Dreamcast, I bought a Sega console.  It was awesome.  I've owned every Sony console since the PS1 and the 360 is my first foray into Microsoft territory.  It's an amazing piece of machinery, too.  Why would you want to short change yourself, or like you said "Quit gaming"?  Is playing Metal Gear with a 360 controller that much worse than playing it with a DS3?  In the end, they're all just plastic and silicon.

The Cell is made of antimatter.

This post is amazing

Sony calls time on their consoles.
All the Sony 1st party stuff I like goes to MS.
MS' reliablity goes up.
Apple doesn't join the arms- I mean console race.
All the 3rd party stuff I like go to MS consoles...

If all of those 5 things happen, I may consider jumping in, however me thinks by the time all these things happen, I might have outgrown gaming all together.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

I own PS3 because it's the only console I really need, but the reasons why I didn't get 360 instead of PS3 were

pay-to-use online
I've played with the PS1&2-controllers for years so I like the controller of PS3
No blu-ray
Exclusive games on PC too (I only really want to play fable 2 but not so much I would get 360)
I'm slightly afraid of getting the RROD

I was dissapointed with nintendo since Wii didn't impress me at all, if they had made another more powerful gamecube I might have thought about getting it too. Gamecube had the best controller ever, first time I picked it up it felt so natural like I had kept it in my hands for years.

If Persona 5 was 360 exclusive and I could find a way to play with a PS3 controller or maybe even a PS2 controller though I have grown attached to wireless.

I wouldn't call myself a "die hard Sony fan" but the only way you'd get me to chooes a 360 over a PS3 would be if Insomniac Games started making games exclusively for the 360.

maybe if they had free online and games i like and no red ring of death i might consider it

"They will know heghan belongs to the helghast"

"England expects that everyman will do his duty"

"we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender"

Well the Wii would need some new series. If I liked Mario or Zelda I'd have a Wii already but I don't. And motion controls aren't enough to get me to spend $250 on a"Gamecube with waggle"

And for the 360, I really like it, in fact I own one and play it more than PS3. But I don't think the 360 has many exclusives. I hate Gears of War, I don't like RPG's generally which takes care of Mass Effect and Fable, and GT is way better than Forza. That leaves Halo and a couple others.

No RPG's on the system is one that comes to mind
