I fear what will happen tomorrow if Sony announces their own motion controller.

You mean the sudden vortex that will erase every sony fans comment regarding the natal? I doubt they will even remember it happened.

Will the vortex also erase every comment about the Wiimote? ;)

I don't remember no past vortex. What?

I do like traditional controllers better myself though.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... one of the reasons this will work is because. it only takes one. and you can play with your family.

where as the wii. you have to purchase a second wiimote($30) and another nunchuck($30) and soon wm+($30-35).

and this is going to draw alot of people. and when this happens they(3rd party pub/devs) will see it as a potential goldmine and start developing games(alot of shovelware) for it which will lead to more exclusives, which is just what microsoft wants

note: i am not trying to troll. i am just outlining why it is a awesome idea.

Well yeah, we could all go out and buy Nunchucks and WM+'s for $10-15 more than the rrp. Not sure why we would

Anyway, Whilst I am personally of the opinion that MS will not sucessfully introduce the 360camera much better than Sony did the eyetoy, the fact is it's much too early to say.

We don't know how precise the camera is. We have a lot of 360 owners who are sure it is more accurate than WM+, and everyone else who thinks it'll be as (in)accurate as the eyetoy. It'll likely end up somewhere in between those extremes, but we'll have to wait for more info.

We also don't know if MS will introduce controllers that go in your hands, or even if there is some way to mimic button presses (it could be done if the camera was incredibly precise)

We also don't know how much 1st and 3rd party support this thing will get.

It is much too early to judge, so stop judging it.

And stop saying all the silly things that were said about the Wii when it was revealed

there ya go guy. It's a camera system for using your body to control games in the 360.

Thanks! You are very helpful!

But that will never work!

Slimebaest, the reason NATAL gets bashed is a few reasons, first its overpriced for the market, the camera will be over $100 easy, probably $200 according to some sources, then the fact that its limited, since it lacks the pointing capabilities of the Wiimote it won't be usuable in most games, in fact the on screen demonstrations showed more flailing than the Wii. Then its 3 years too late, the conference was littered withthe same themes that Nintendo has been saying since it announced the Wii but suddenly MS acts like its the first to think of it, after bashing the Wii for 3 years. Finally is the MS fanboys who weeks ago were bashing the Wii, but now that they have a gimped version of motion control, its suddenly the greatest thing ever, so you know that the Wii fans have to give them a dose of perspective.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Where are you getting this information? I haven't heard anything about a price yet for it.

The $200 price is currently an estimate, but considering the needed tech to get such a thing working it sounds reasonable

wouldn't waving a remote around be a more "gimped" version of motion control than full body control?

Not if the full body lacks any pointing ability, needed for such things as FPS's

i find it ironic that the wii fanboys are the biggest naysayers. if this was made by nintendo they wouldnt be complaining infact they would herald it as the second coming of the messiah. Im sorry but i (and many others) think this has amazing potential and i will reserve judgement until i see it in action

Long Live SHIO!

LOL.  Why is there a need for FPS games with motion control?  The ones for Wii don't seem to be very popular.  Thus, people with motion control don't really care for them.
