People (or PS3 fanboys) claimed and I quote from pasts threads regarding the spoiler site for Metal Gear "The Xbox will never get a Metal Gear Solid game" or "Kojima only loves Sony hence why no Metal Gear game will come to the Xbox 360" or my personal favorite "A Metal Gear game would need multiple discs and Kojima would never do that"

It has now been announce that Metal Gear is coming to Xbox 360, yet fanboys are now saying "360 fans are only getting a spin-off (see the official MS E3 Conference thread, pages 20 to 24). I think it is time for PS3 fanboys to come out and admit that their beloved Sony loyalist is only another business man interested in making money and hence why he's bringing such loved franchise to the competition.

Works out for everyone I figure, PS3 fanboys can call the new game a spinoff, and 360 fanboys can keep marginalizing MGS4 as a movie. Everybody's happy.

On Topic:  I'm wondering where they are going to go with this one.  If it is staring Raiden (His face is plastered all over it) then I wonder if it is going to be more combat oriented, and would thus stray away from a true MGS game and might be considered a "spin off".  It will be interesting to see what happens.

Well 360 fanboys keep calling Versus XIII a spin off

so its fair int he end, also MGS Rise is on PS3 too (remember famitsu PSP + PS3 scan)

But didn't he say he was bringing the whole franchise to 360?

This new game is a start, but he could also be releasing like the older games on XBLA or something, and porting MGS4, and any future projects could see 360 releases.

This one game is just a start from the way I understood it when watching him live.

So I come from school, and I dont see hectic ps3 fanboys on the forums, so thats a good sign, but I do see a load of microsoft topics.. and one starting the new METAL GEAR, I knew it was going to happen!

It makes sense considering MGS2 was staring raiden and is the only MGS game on the xbox (which completely trounces your first sentence..)

This acquisition just makes me wonder what will happen to the Main Kingdom Hearts series.
